Thanks krissyc39! I've decided to post one of my poems up here. It's called He Said. If I do perform, this would be what I performed. Please leave some feedback!

He said he loved me and never would hurt me
He promised he would wait and forever
Forever would be he date we'd end
I saw the world in his eyes
His smile became my stars
Life had meaning if only because
He said it did
It was strange how all the things
you said wouldn't happen did
See, my "he" wasn't a part of the we
I had planned
He said so much and meant so little
He said that-
And I said no, that to me, he was just
He and that we? We never were
He said a lot of things and meant very little
I say so much to for me
It works to be me

I refuse to be deterred by someone who doesn't want me to succeed. Reaching for the stars is definitely on my agenda for my future.

@Mz.CiCi- I really like your poem !! Smile

mverde3 thank you!
This vent is for the older naturals aka "The ones who can afford to buy all these durn products!" I'm a college student living off a refund check until I can get a job. CAN YOU PLEASE STOP TELLING ME TO BUY ALL NATURAL PRODUCTS which may or may not work? I don't have that kind of money! I spent $9.71 for one bottle of leave in conditioner. I have 3 conditioners, a cholesterol treatment and oils for $9.71 & they work great. SMH

I work really hard and it just irks me that for the amount of time i put into my classes I can't get one teensy weensy A. Smh, maybe I want As because i NEED a scholarship for grad school, not cause I'm some anal overachiever ><

Sorry to change the subject but I have a rant. I love my mom. I really do. I'd walk through hell and back for her to repay all of the things she's done for me. But I will NOT give her my car. Why is it that when I feel like I still have freedom, it get's taken away? First, babysitting, now my car? I need that. To go places. Florida is not New York. If I could take the subway to places, she could have it. But I can't, so stop killing my happiness. I know, it's not her fault that her crappy old van broke down. I know. But you go to work on Friday nights? Are you just doing this to make me miserable? Why'd you have to change your schedule to go like that? You work Saturday night too? What are you doing? Ugh. And yet, I feel so selfish complaining about it T.T

@ Kurreh that sucks! I wanted a car in high school but I felt like my mom would have done the same exact thing. I say if you're making payments on it then hecks naw she can't take it but if she offers to pay...

^^ At least you're being real. I hate people who want everyone to think that they're perfect

Yeah my mom has my car b/c I don't have my license (long story but I'm way too unselfish sometimes!). It's hard but I understand ya pain. See if you could drive her and someone bring her home. That'd be a nice compromise.

Why do I even have a mental filter?? I mean I'll think about something, know it's probably inappropriate and say it anyways "/ Ugh, I feel so awkward!

I had to cut like 4 inches for heat damage so Idk if I'm mentally ready to see my hair the shortest it's been since beginning of my senior year. Really scared.

Maybe you should do a light blow out. If you're not feeling the length, just stop and twist your hair or something
