Black Hair question

Sorry if this has been asked before, I see all of the wonderful benefits of Henna, however I am not thrilled about the color. My hair is brown and Im sure it will be quite reddish if I use the Henna. Is there anything similar that can be used and the color is black. Or products that can be mixed to make black other than hair color? Just curious, thanks for any insight! I have never used henna sooo this is just from what i've heard lol. But apparently a plant named indigo will make it darker but sometimes a blue/black so you have to be careful. There are some people who never even get the color when they do it I think it's hit or miss.
