I think her hair is cute natural or relaxed. She is a very cute person.

i don't know if it is relaxed or not but i don't like this style on her.

Media Takeout was the website claiming Jill got a relaxer and not just straightened. IDK whether it's true or not, but I was a little disgusted with the way they framed it.
As usual they used the same old same old term for why Jill would get a relaxer... because of her need to have more "manageable" hair for her 20th high school reunion. The commenters were even worse.

I think it's cute!!! IMO, if she relaxed her hair, that's her choice....the same way I choose to be natural.

Dont get me wrong, I love her natural hair but when it all comes down to it, it's her choice.

Personally I don't care for the cut at all. But I'm not upset about her decisions. It's her head. So my reasons for saying that aren't due to a natural hair bias. It just does nothing for her. I LOVE a banging short permed look too. This one just doesn't do it for me.

I agree with Juices-n-Berries.....the cut doesn't look to good on her. But its her hair. I loved her natural hair.

That looks like a matted dry birds nest on her head. I don't know why u ladies are telling her she looks good. She can't hear u.

My friend that inspired me to go natural just relaxed last week. And she went from this cute Jamaican girl with like 3 inches of nappy natural hair to with permed hair that reaches her ears.It looks nice, but I ppreferred the natural her. smh

Jill Scott needa go somewhere with that! It's a shame that my transitioning hair after 9 months looks better tha THAT on her head. If you're gonna perm at least don't underprocess it like that. I love Jill..and people tell me I look like her but EWWW GIRL! lol

No, no.... That's not a good a good look. I loved her curly hair!! it was beautiful and it suited her. The cut and colour..Not for her.

But that's just me.

I hope its just straightened b/c if its relaxed she needs a new stylist. I think if you are going to rock a relaxer, it should be straight, shiny, and sleek...not ashy like that.

Whatever floats her boat. She's not really wearing makeup and the camera flash makes her looked aged so I also thinks it's making here hair look ashy. So I'm thinking this was snapped with someone's point and shoot.

I always thought that Jill Scott's natural hair was an afro weave/ wig.....

to me, it looks like JIll was not well prepared for this pic. Her makeup doesnt really look "done", and she looks a little tired. WHO KNOWS who took this pic and why, and how old it is truly. She may have flat ironed her natural curls. We really dont know. The cut, in my opinion, is cute, its just not styled. This pic could be of her rolling out of bed walkign to the gym, etc. We dont truly know.....

to the above picture. i really don't. but i guess she just had a baby, she is a busy working mom, maybe she just wanted something shorter that was less hair to work with. maybe she wanted to cut it but didn't want a TWA so she relaxed it. i have no idea. but i can't lie and say "good for her" because i don't think it looks good at all. SHE is still beautiful, but the hair isn't.
