Hey guys! So I feel like my twists are already starting to look raggedy lol. Oh well. I'm determined to keep them in as long as possible lol. But I mean it's only been like a week. Boo!





The top of my head looks like crap right? That can't be all new growth? I don't know... I just put it in a bun 90% of the time anyway so hopefully it's not noticeable.

Basically I'm just gonna try to keep maintaining. I might retwist the top of my head on Wednesday or something. We'll see.

Do you think you did them tight enough the first time?

I thought I did but maybe not based on these pics lol.

I wonder if they could be sliding down, do you take the bun down every night?

Every night I take my bun down, spritz my scalp and put my bonnet on. I curl the hair in the back up and tuck it into the bonnet. I have no clue. I think this is why I get frustrated with kinky twists after like a week. Lol. From afar they look great, up close, not so much hehe... Oh wells, what can you do?!

I agree with Tia. If the bun is too tight it could be pulling the hair right out. Also, was the hair you used similar in texture to your own. If your hair is more fine or not as "kinky" I could see it sliding out as well.

The hair I used is kinkier than my hair. It was afro Marley hair. The first time I did twists though I did make that mistake and it was sliding out lol. Also the bun is a low bun in the back and the strands on top don't even usually make it into the bun. I usually have pins everywhere. Thanks for all the theories though ladies!

Hey chicas! How's it going?! Today was my day off but I didn't really do anything hair related because I went to go see my dad who's leaving to go back to Haiti on Saturday! It's only for a couple of weeks but I'll miss him. The good part is now I'll be able to get a firsthand account of how things are going down there.

I did see something that made me a little mad today! I was riding the bus and a lady came on with her daughter. The lady had gorgeous long locs that were wrapped up atop her head with a really nice scarf. Her daughter on the other hand who must have been 8 or 9 had fuzzy, old 2 strand twists on her head! Now I know that kids are kids and they play and get messy but come on now! That poor child looked a mess! How can her mom take such amazing care of her own hair and yet neglect her daughter?! Hopefully they were on their way home so mom could fix her hair. SMH....

Hey ladies! Sorry I've been MIA! The past few days have been gorgeous here in MA and I'm just doing things other than staying online lol. I even renewed my commitment to getting healthy.

My hair looks the same. Only 16 more days til I can take my twists out. Woohoo! I washed my hair on Saturday for the first time since putting them in. I also deep conditioned. It was weird but I got through it hahaha. I can't wait to take these suckers out and see how Harriet is doing but patience is a virtue! Hey ladies! How's everyone doing?! I just got home from work. So many people at work ask me how much I paid for my kinky twists, lol. I'm like ummmm $11 and 9 hours of my time hehe. They're always amazed! I'm like YouTube is my best friend!

Hey ladies! How is everyone doing? I'm assuming great since it's Friday and the end of the week for most of you. My week is just beginning, life of a waitress, lol.
