Salon Delta
4010 W 15th Street, Ste 60
Plano, TX 75093
ph# 972-424-6110
www.salondelta.com

I went to Salon Delta for my BC yesterday. The owners, Naylan (natural hair stylist) and Osie (babrber) were generous in sharing their knowledge of some products and techniques I may want to try to get my desired look. Then, I paid my 15 bucks for the haircut, and I was out! I'm super excited and love the look! I'm sure if I have natural haircare needs that I can't do on my own, I will be back at Salon Delta!

My sister and I have gone to Zayd's Naturally Natural Hair Studio (on Almeda in the 3rd Ward/mid-town area)for afro kinky twists. I have been pleased with their work and have referred co-workers there. Here is there website: http://www.zaydsnaturalhairstyles.com/

A friend has gone to Headliners Hair Salon (near the Galleria) for coils and she was happy with her experience there. I think she saw Candance (832-368-0204).

One for the Dallas area. Allure Beauty Bar. www.allurebeautybar.com

They are in Frisco and are an all-natural salon. I had a consultation with Sunny (they are $25.00) and we spent almost a half-hour discussing my hair, the products I use, what I was seeking to do, etc...

I promptly made an appointment to get a roller set done (something I've been wanting) and I can't WAIT to see what the results are like.

It's very clean and modern looking and not "hood" at all, which is important to me. They're also on FaceBook and have excellent reviews.

If you're in the Dallas area, check out Senekia Clifton at Naptural Transitions.

She does big chops for free and she is a natural hair guru. She specializes in twists, locs, braids, etc.

Thanks Curls! I had a great experience at Allure, but think the price (I paid $80 for a roller set) are a little high.

Houston naturals, I second Zayd's on Almeda. They did the kinky twists I've been transitioning with, and I've already made my appointment to BC at the end of the month. I believe the price is $30 for a BC.

Ok. This is for the Naturals who live in Dallas-

I found that lady who did some bad a** Kinky twists for me for 60$ on Saturday.
I've been telling everyone i know about her. It's not a "salon" per se but she does all sort of braids....

Her website is braidz4u
her number is 469 443 2452

So I went to Revelations Hair Salon in Dallas yesterday based on the review someone posted here. LOVED THEM! I got my hair shaped up, they are so friendly, professional, and fast. I got a shampoo, dc, and trim for $20 with Yolanda. The salon is really ragedy, I won't lie. But it does not indicate the quality of service. I loved them.

Full review on my blog and pics on my Fotki.

For Houston naturals, I know a couple of people that go to Strictly Roots on the corner of Blodgett & 288 (Third Ward). I went for a consultation, but haven't actually gone for a service. I was going to get a perm rod set and figured I'd just try it myself first.

I just moved to Texas last month. Thank god for blogs like this. I just made an appointment with Senekia. Her number is the same but he has moved to Rampage Salon on Parry Ave. I just did bc last month so I am looking for someone to help with styling.
