Hey chicas! i joined one of the challenges today. It is a twist challenge and i just wanted to share a pic of my twists. I blew my hair out before i twisted...could that be damaging?

You can do the cutest flat twist styles. I'm working on getting that technique down. You hair has really grown, and you are doing a great job of taking care of it!!

Let me go check out this twist challenge...winter is coming and since I getting kinda good at twists I may join that challenge as well.

Your twists are gorgeous and your hair has grown a lot! I haven't used a blow dryer yet but from others comments I don't think its damaging as long as you don't do it too often. Also make sure you use something as a heat protectant.

Hey Moriah- just checkin in on ya! Hoping all is well!

Good Morning curl street! I always fall off the wagon with this journal but, Im back and I love you guys. I guess I'll jump right into some updates on whats been going on with me and my hair. Soo as far as my hair. I mean I guess its growing, well, it is growing but I'm pretty sure that its damaged. Im debating on weather i should cut it and start over or just continue to grow it. I have heat damage and my ends are kinda raggedy. So i need to make a decision about that. I will admit. I have not been taking good care of my hair and that probably the source of all the bad hair news. I just don't know where to start with the repairs...
As for updates with myself and my life, I moved to cali in october to live with my sister and lose weight. Over the last few years I had put on so much weight that it was just becoming a death sentence. I was unhappy. I was bigger than all of my friends and wasn't wearing the clothes and doing the things I wanted. So I moved out here to get my life back and I am doing so well. When I first moved out here 4 months ago I weighed 269 and I stand at 5'10 and I am 20 years old, today is January 30th and I now weigh 239. I am feeling better, I feel alive actually. As I am working out and I see myself reaching goals like running a full mile or two or three now, I am filled with so much joy. Its hard being over weight in this world and I am so happy to have a sister that has helped turn my life around. I started out wanting to lose 100lbs but I wanna lose another 40 and see what I am looking like. If you guys would like to join me on this journey please let me know. We can build a support system

Thank you stokes i haven't been doing a damn thing. It feels like whenever i trim my hair there are still scraggly ends. but when i saw the heat damage i did do a DC with egg olive oil and honey Im starting to think another BC is in my future
