MissMoriah: IM BACK WITH UPDATES AND LOTS OF PICTURES
Hey Ladies, My last journal was off and on and never consistent so I have decided to create a new one. I am still loving the site and these forums, my boyfriend says I'm addicted, but there is so much good info and you all are so encouraging, informative, beautiful, and sweet people. How could I not be here everyday???

Re: MissMoriah: IM BACK WITH UPDATES AND LOTS OF PICTURES
How many classes are you taking? Maybe, you can just reduce the number of classes you are taking. That way, you will still be in school but not feel so overwhelmed. Not sure if this is your first year in college, but it is different than high school. If you decide to reduce your classes, be sure to talk to the financial aid advisor, if you are on financial aid. The number of classes you take does effect the amount of aid you receive.

Hey labon. I am only taking three classes but they are accelerated because it is a summer session. I have no room for dropping classes because It will effect my financial aid. I think I need to just try and pull it out :/
Re: MissMoriah: IM BACK WITH UPDATES AND LOTS OF PICTURES
Don't give up if college is what you really want to do careerwise. I also worked when I was in college...having a good support system helps also. I would suggest adjusting your class schedule around work next semster/quarter so you won't feel so overwhelmed. Or try to balance more difficult classes with some fun electives. Because sometimes when you stop it is even more difficult to go back. Believe me I still cringe when I think about going back for my Master's.

Re: MissMoriah: IM BACK WITH UPDATES AND LOTS OF PICTURES
Thanks moore, to be honest I am not really into college that way. I have always wanted to own my own salon. I want to go to beauty school so I can learn everything and then open up my own shop one day. I think If I mess up my financial aid where I am at now that they wont assist me in beauty school. So i feel as though I am stuck
Re: MissMoriah: IM BACK WITH UPDATES AND LOTS OF PICTURES
Hey missmoriah! Hang in there girl. You don't want to try to go back to school when you have three kids--that's where I am now and oh, how I wish I had gone when I was childless and had less responsibilities.
I'll be back later to check out your mini twists. Have a good day!

Okay labon I should and will do that. Probably tomorrow. I don't know what they can do for me but I will speak with one just to see where I am at.
Re: MissMoriah: IM BACK WITH UPDATES AND LOTS OF PICTURES
If you have to be in school right now consider taking business classes. That's half of running any business. Good luck to you. Your hair looks fabulous!
Re: MissMoriah: IM BACK WITH UPDATES AND LOTS OF PICTURES
I agree with Renny. Take advantage of being in school and take a few business claases. That will help you if and when you decide to open up a salon. Don't let school stress you outh though. Remember to take time for yourself. Take breaks and try to enjoy some of the summer while it's here. Some of my best times were had while I was in college. It seems tough now but it will be worth it in the end.

Hi lady!
Try to look at the big picture. What you are enduring is for the short term, try to see what it will afford you in the long term.
You can do it! I believe in you!

Thanks Chrs!
Hey ladies how are ya this evening??? Well I'm good. I have a hair update for anyone that cares. LOL. I co-washed my hair today as I always do on wednesdays( when i am not supposed to). I styled it as well. This style is supposed to last me until sunday when I shampoo and DC. I did flat twists on the side and then I attempted my always failed two strand twists again. Ladies, I have nearly four inches of hair. WHY ARE MY TWISTS STILL TINY???!!!??? o_O any who here are a few pics.
Im starting to think they come out this way because my hair is not as thick as I think it is...IDK any ideas?

Hey MissMoriah! I don't have any advice on the twists, sorry but you have 4 inches of hair! It's growing girl!!!! My twists shrink up often but sometimes flat twisting elongates them a bit for me.
Re: MissMoriah: IM BACK WITH UPDATES AND LOTS OF PICTURES
Hey Moriah!
Love that style and yes we love hair updates around here ! Your two strand twists are not a fail, they are really cute! Remember shrinkage could also make your twists appear smaller than they really are.

Re: MissMoriah: IM BACK WITH UPDATES AND LOTS OF PICTURES
Hey Krazy. Thank You! And shrinkage is what takes over. I wish I could get them like everyone else's. I will continue to try though. I am no quitter!

Re: MissMoriah: IM BACK WITH UPDATES AND LOTS OF PICTURES
Hi MissM...
I know how you feel...your twists are really nice. Stop looking at Lynn and Bholmes twists..**drooling** Your twists are very nice for your length. You will have shrinkage, but try twisting on damp hair instead of wet.
Look a me giving advice...I still don't have twists mastered. LOL
Now...lets address this school situation. School is not for everyone, but nowadays everyone will need a degree. It will be to your advantage to try and stick with school (if you can) and just get a business degree.. Once you complete school..then open your salon. However, like everyone else has stated look at the big picture, and the opportunities you will have when you are done!!
Talk to your counselor and see what he/she suggest that you do!! Hang in there sweetie...this is nothing compared to the real world!!

Re: MissMoriah: IM BACK WITH UPDATES AND LOTS OF PICTURES
@KNH I cant help but to look at them lol their twists are so luscious and plump and perfectly twisted. I cannot wait until that day comes for me. The sad part is I have seen people with my hair length have twists that come out like theirs, just shorter. I will continue to pray for patience...As for school, I know that everyone is going back to get the DEGREE and that in todays economy it is needed. For that reason I am going to try and pull it out. Thanks to all of you encouraging me.
Re: MissMoriah: IM BACK WITH UPDATES AND LOTS OF PICTURES
Those twists are as cute as they can be. You look lovely.
Re: MissMoriah: IM BACK WITH UPDATES AND LOTS OF PICTURES
Girl that style is too cute! Are you doing your twists on wet hair? That causes major shrinkage, so do them on slightly damp or dry hair if you can. Doing them smaller may help as well. Good job!
