Hello, I hope everyone is have a great hair day [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
I was just wondering if anyone has tried smooth-n-shine curl activator gel to define curls. I just did a BC about 2 weeks ago and my hair is growing like wild fire and I want to start defining the curls that I have.

Congrats Cute n Curly! I just did a BC on Saturday, myself so I'm super interested in this topic. Is curl activator a chemical? Does using that take away from one's hair being 100% natural?

I dont think its a chemical. You can buy it from CVS or Walgreens if you have them in your area. From what I can tell its a gel something like eco stlyer

I use CareFree Curl activator. Just a tiny bit goes a long way to define & add some shine to my curls.

I've also recently picked up Hawaiian Silky 14 in 1 moisturizer from Sally's. OMG! I have high shine & high definition. I co-washed w/Suave Humectant and ran some Aussie Moist thru my hair (usual routine). Then added a bit of Nexxus Humectress & Giovanni Direct Leave-in as I do everyday. As an afterthought, I squirted some HS in my hand (I'd forgotten I bought it yesterday) and ran it through.

My curls have held up in FL humidity all day. Well defined and super shiny & soft.

I have use the smooth-n-shine curl activator and LOVE it. A little goes a long way, it is cheap(3.00 at dollar general), and very moisturzing. When i want to define my curls I use that and spritz with water, shake and go.

The other ladies gave you great options as well.

Omg...thsi is mosdef a staple for me now...I used for the first time this morning, hair is soft, curls defined and moisturized...I am really impressed...I purchased yesterday from the Dollar General store...To think I have spent so much more on other products that haven't worked as well....They have a permanent customer!
