Headbands designs for natural hair Empty Headbands designs for natural hair

Post by cherry 12th November 2009, 2:35 pm

I've discovered head bands & am LOVING them.

I have probably 20 or 30 that I've bought over the last couple of months from J. Crew. They seem to fit the shape of my head very well & don't put pressure on my head (headaches).

Post pictures of your collections and how you style your hair! Where you buy yours

Attached is me with a purple band that I like (has a pretty little ribbon). I don't like the wider bands but you can see them better... hmmm

Thanks

I raid the $1 stores, beauty supply shops for new things, I have about 50. My BC was an accident so I felt like I needed something to make me look feminine and not like a boy. My new fav thing is to use a simple thin black elastic headband and then use a pretty pin that coordinates with my outfit. It kinda looks like the pin is floating. in my hair. The one in my avi is from beauty supply shop, it is one headband and meant to look like it's doubled. I think it was meant for little girls but who has to know that [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] !

Both headbands were from Target. They have a small elastic band in the back so it stay on your head. A lot of them look like scarves from the front. They are about $7 each including tax.

@ Lovely Curls-I also get all my headbands from target. I'm so glad we don't live in the same city...LOL! Your bands are pretty. I have the yellow one but I've never seen solid colors there.

Anyway Curly Divas, I was in Target on Thursday and some of their headbands are on clearance. Of course they are summer colors but nothing wrong with stocking up for next year.

Also Gap had headbands for 3.99 on the clearance table

I'm in Germany, so no Target, but tons of scarves here so that's what I use. Silk scarves in bold bright colors are my favorite. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Yeah all my headbands are from Target. The only solid colors I have are brown, red, and teal. All the other ones are some sort of pattern. @ Erica5417-let me know if you find some at Target.

@ nmoultry if we lived in the same city, we would have to act like we planned our headband days...lol

They were cleaned out! They only had a couple of styles left. I'm going back when they restock. I'm so mad because I know they must have been cute if they were all gone.

You will find them on that random trip to Target, when you are in there for something totally different. Thats how I ran across mines...wasn't even looking for them, it was like they found me Laughing

my hair always feels too thick for head bands. i have to use the stretchy kind that i can double because if not, during the day, my headband will literally "grow" off of my head!

I have that same problem, when I wear one that isn't a solid loop with elastic, then I wear a thin black stretchy one underneath. It also helps to keep the hard plastic ones from pinching your temples.

has anyone used headbands made out of leather? if so, do you think the leather will dry out our hair?
