So my prom is in a few weeks, and I would like to know if there are any hairstyles that I can do with my hair. I was thinking about getting a press 'n' curl at the salon, but I'm not sure if I want to use heat. My hair type is 4a and 4b at the back. I have been transitioning for like 11 months.

Thank you! [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

My junior prom is this Friday and I'm currently 5months post, I'm also transitioning like you. For prom
I decided to get kinky twist (which is not only a my prom hairstyle but
a protective style which ill keep in for a couple of weeks), which i
got done yesterday. And I think I'm gonna get them styled in a cute
up-do on Friday (the day of prom).

But to answer your question,
you could try a braided style, sew-in or get a half wig. I would get a
style that was not only really cute but would benefit your hair in the long
run. The way I see it, I don't wanna pay $60+ on a hairstyle that will only last me one night. I hope this helped [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]!!
