Hey Priceless! I'm doing pretty good, lovely! I'm really hooked on protective styles now. They're so easy and super low maintenance. Just like I like it!

ugh, i hate that summer went by sooooo faast!! i feel like we were JUST talkin bout summer plans and now we're makin plans for fall **sigh** im so down for the protective styling and ur routine sounds pretty good. when i kept a calendar i was more on point and now im just wingin it i like to be more organized so i gotta get back on track! im so bad cuz i normally DC once a week no matter what n i've been slackin in that field in the past 2 wks! im gonna make sure i DC monday though!

Girl, yes it did! I'm ready for cooler temps, though, but not ready to go back to work. I ready to explore some new stuff with Nina, definitely! Our first game is Friday and I'll take plenty of pics to post! I can totally see you on the dance line! I bet you were just cute!

Well, thus ends another summer vacation. The kids come back to us tomorrow morning! This is my 5th year, and I still get butterflies like it's my first day, first year. Maybe because I just never know what to expect the first week. The chaos, the confusion, it doesn't die down after until Labor Day!

For my first day of school hair, you guessed it, I'm rocking another braidout! My entire wash routine (shampoo/condition/detangle) took me 35 minutes! That's a dramatic difference from an hour! Thanks to detangling the night before. For my braidout I braided my hair in thicker plaits for a chunkier look. I won't be PSing this week, because I really want to wear my hair out. I figure I've done such a good job being consistent this summer, it's a small reward for myself. Also, I'll be indoors all day so very little sun/heat exposure. I'll go back to my scheduled PSing starting next Sunday and follow my routine.


I styled my hair with a green tea spritz (which I love, thanks to Muz), Kimmaytube leave in, jojoba oil, and sealed with my Bee Mine Curly Butter and castor oil. By the way, don't sleep on green tea! My skin and hair looooooove it so far. I've used it for the last two weeks, but I'll know if it's a winner when I use it for an entire 30 days. I'll give you a true review of green tea next month.

Well, I know last week I showed you a comparison shot of my braidout. I was curious to see what my hair looked like completely stretched out to maximum length. So I took some pics today and compared to my hair in April and in June. I usually take comp pics every 3-4 months.



This is my bangs and nape from April 2010 to August 2010. I don't measure inches, I just like to compare with photos.


This is a 2 month comparison (June 2010 to August 2010). The left is dry hair and the right is freshly washed hair.

This will be the last set of comp photos until November or December.

Anyway, that's it for now. I have such a busy school year ahead I'm trying to go in with a positive attitude about it. Football season, new classes to teach, going to grad school in the spring, the list goes on and on. Pray for me ya'll! I'm going to try to preserve my sexy the best way I can through it all!

nice growth! My kids go to school next week, I am nervous for them! Expecially my son, he started speech therapy at the end of the last school year I need to make sure we continue that..Plus, he had a seizure for the first time on vacay! So we have lots of doctors appointments! I have to warn all of his teachers to look out for him! My poor baby! : (
