4 Months Post Relaxer

Congats, CurlsofGlory! I'm with you about cutting these permed ends off, but I think every day that I go without cutting is an accomplishment...lol. I just finished rod setting my hair as I do every Sunday, and the one thing that keeps me going is that I can see that it's growing, and I want it to be a certain length before I cut the rest of the perm off.

I'm only at the fourth month mark & I have retained 3 inches of new growth!

Thank you. I cowash once a week with palmer's olive oil replinishing conditioner & herbal essences totally twisted. I also spritz my hair with water & garnier fructis sleek & shine leave-in & seal it with EVOO day & night. I also use carol's daughters hair balm on my edges & i use their black vanilla shampoo whenever I need to. I DC after every wash & I do a protein treatment after I shampoo. I drink 2.2 liters of water everyday!

Thanks for sharing! I was just looking at my water bottle thinkiing, "I need to drink more water"...lol. It's really hard for me to drink the amount of water I should drink. And it's not that it's water...I don't drink much of anything. I'm just not a thirsty person. But you've motivated me

Ur welcome! I used to be the same way. It's helped my acne too(still a teenager lol). What made it easier for me to drink that much was when I bought a 2.2 liter water bottle from walmart

Great idea! You know, I didn't get any acne as a teenager, but now I have a breakout every now and then. I've just discovered that aloe vera gel is fantastic for helping to keep my face acne-free.

Finally reached the 4 month mark. I love my new growth, just can't seem to keep my hands out of it. Did a Mini Chop relieving myself of 5 inches of relaxed ends. Huge, huge step for me!

To me, my hair feels harsh and dry. It doesn't have that soft, moisturized, wet baby hair look. Can anyone give me some suggestions?!

Hello ladies i am new the this and i have been without a relaxer since the middle of nov. 2010 when i got micro braids. When i took my hair down I was planing on relaxing but didn't like how thin my hair felt. So i looked around on the internet for different ways to thicken my hair when i came accross all the transitioning and bc video's on youtube. I had fallin in love and ditched the creamy crack in hope of dicovering what my natural hair texture looks like. I have been perms since before i can remember and I am courious I am not sure of how long I wan to transiton but I thinking the BC will come sooner than later with all the breakage i am experiancing. My hair is very rough and like I said breaking off and I have been co washin and keeping my hair moisterized. I am in the process of finding out what products will work better with my hair. Any advice? Think u ladies for the inspiration!!

im new to website and i am 4 months strong!!!! my hair is dry and doesnt grow that fast.i had my last relaxer the middle of nov'10. but i need products to make my hair gro faster. any suggeustions?? tnx ladies
