7 Months Post Relaxer Empty Re: 7 Months Post Relaxer

Post by kdenise 12th June 2010, 11:01 pm

I am at the 7 month mark and did a mini chop on yesterday. I was really trying to do a long transition but since my hair was in a bob already, I got about 1.5 inches cut before I got my braids two months ago...So I took the braids out Thursday and there were parts of my relaxed hair that was so tangled! I didn't get frustrated though...my mom tried to save as much as she could but i just told her to cut the tangled part off... so i may have another 2.5 inches of relaxer on the sides and in the front so I'm thinking by August, I will be comfortable enough to cut the rest off (the back is fully natural). I have to take pics and then post.

Currently 7.5 months post and my staple styles are buns and braidouts. Just did a 2.5 inch mini-chop and my new avatar shows my current braidout length.

Everyone's hair is so beautiful! I'm a little over 7 months, and finally seeing a huge difference in my hairline. For the past few weeks, I've been co-washing and making a ponytail or a braided bun. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Hello everyone. I haven't had a perm since December '09 and my hair has grown out tremendously. I am totally new to this and LOVVVVVVVE IT. I am still a little skeptical about the transition but eager in a way too. I really don't want to do a BC. I really need some good products to use. I am a 4a-4b. Please help!!!!

I have been transitioning since 9/09. I have 4a/b fine hair. I use only Giovanni Products that can be bought at Whole Foods, Target, Walmart, CVS, Pharmaca, and health food stores. I use Giovanni SAS Deeper Moisture Shampoo to poo, SAS Deeper Moisture Conditioner and Reconstructor to DC, SAS Xtreme Protein Infusion or Direct Leave In as leave in, I set my hair with Giovanni Natural Mousse Hair Styling Foam and seal with castor oil.

Always be sure to balance moisture and protein in your products: http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/278612/the_fine_art_of_protein_and_moisture.html?singlepage=true&cat=69.
