Twist Challenge!!!!

I am still twisted up and I can't wait to take them down. This Sunday I will start early and I plan to twist on dry hair in an attempt to combat the shrinkage. I was watching the pictorial that NikkiMae has posted when the ladies of Miss Jesse's did her hair. I am excited!! I want them to stay stretched so I can pin them up like ya'll are doing! LOL! Yeah I am whining!

@everyone; BRAVO!!!!!! These pics are delish!!! I must admit....I LOVE this challenge!! I got an idea I think tomorrow I'm gonna retwist(took the ones from the other day down while watching Americas Nxt Top Model on DVR) and then flat twist my twist?!!!? It just might work...if not, Oh Well!!

My daughter is not in the challenge but we're starting a protective styling challenge on the blog in May so I did a style inspired by Jill Scott and tiashauntee, it didn't quite come at as planned but I still like it. I will post better pics on the blog later.

I did the sister twist method (twist one clockwise, other count clockwise) then twist around each other

Last time I did the sister twists was for Halloween 2009, and added beads, I see major growth, I will probably come back to post the older pictures.

But anyway on to what I used, Bee mine curly butter and luscious moisturizer, omg, can you say amazing! Seriously!!! I'm not sure if anyone has used it on their twists but deeeeeefinitely look into it. I am very impressed. I also used the spirtz when I was done, I love it all together. Review soon but I had to go ahead and share!

@NikG - you're daughter's hair look amazing - u did an excellent job. I have Curly Bee Mine Curly Butter but I don't have the luscious moisturizer or the spritz - so u say this is a winning combo? The moisturizer and the butter seemed almost identical to me that's why I didn't get the luscious moisturizer. I was just staring at the Bee Mine butter this morning saying to myself I have to use it - I got the large one too.

Hmm so I took my twist out last weekend and been cowashing like crazy to get mmy scalp back to it's health. I think I will put the twist back in tonight. I hate having scalp issues with twists!

I still have my hair twisted, but it's not looking to hot here towards the end of the week, so I have nothing to brag about.

Blondebydesire, the are similar but definitely not identical. The moisturizer is like really light and fluffy, it reminded me of whipped cream, the butter is much more creamy, it was thick but not too thick, a medium consistency I guess, the combo of the two together was amazing! I'm not sure how they would work alone.

I was watching that video and I thought about doing the same thing! I might try Mae's/Miss Jessie's pictorial method for week 3 as well
