Healthy Natural Hair

I am still transitioning, its been 2 months since i had my last perm. My goal is to do my BC in 2 more months. I was going to do it this weekend, but decided to give it more time. My question is what can i do to ensure a healthy head of natural hair when i do the BC?

Daily co-washing or close would probably be at the top of my list!

what does co-washing mean?

co-washing is using conditioner yo cleanse your hair. Many shampoos contain sodium lauryl sulfate which can strip natural hair of needed moisture. Surprisingly, you can get your hair quite clean with conditioner if you don't use a lot of silicone heavy products.

I co-wash by putting silicone free conditioner e.g. Vo5 moisture milks on dry hair, waiting 10 minutes, hopping under the shower and then rinsing off. Other people have their own methods. Try it. Co-washing is very popular. I do it once a week and shampoo wash once a week but many people co wash daily. It may help manage your new growth.
