I'm sticking with this challenge until April is over, then (after seeing NTCM'shair) I think I am going to do pinup twists in May. Only doing my hair on the weekends is saving me a lot of time in the morning M-F, which is perfect because I never want to get out of bed.

Doing cornrows on straight hair wasn't too bad and it took about 20 minutes because I kept trying to make them super neat. My favorite thing about cornrows on straight hair is the hang time. Hubby said they almost look fake. At one time his hair was longer than mine, now mine is getting longer than his - I think he's getting jealous but he won't admit it. LOL!

Before braiding I applied some Castor oil to my ends. It's amazing the difference that stuff makes on my hair. I absolutely love the outcome of using Castor oil.

cute! reminds of when i was pregnant i kept my hair in cornrows and people always thought they were fake cause i would go to the beauty shop to get them done and my hair was so long. but i would have her pin the ends up into a bun.

AS if I've never said this before...you are the best hair idol ever! You cease to amaze me! I'm loving the hangtime and how neat those braids are! I just told my roommate that I am going to wear my natural hair in braids for a month this summer. But first I have to come to NC so you can teach me a Braiding for Dummies class!

I did that for about a week or two during the months I bunned and it was a disaster. I had an increase in knots and my ends started looking ratty. So taking them down nightly doesn't work for me. You may want to give it a shot - it might work better for you.

Nothing special today. I am still appreciating my "hangtime."
Hubby wants to take me on a riding date on Saturday so it looks like I will be leaving my cornrows in a little longer so that the helmet will fit, lol. It cold here now so I hope it warms up A LOT before Saturday.

I am going to finish out April with my cornrows and then jump into the twist challenge for May. I am looking forward to seeing all the creative pin-ups that will be posted.

Yes, a motorcycle. DH wouldn't get on a horse if I paid him, lol

So I am a little late posting today because I have been spending all morning updating my resume and job hunting. I have come to realize that I have to remove myself from the workplace or the police will. I have reached my wits in with this place and the people into. I will admit - this job has had a hand in greatly improving my prayer life

As for hair...all day yesterday my scalp was tingling. Not an itch but a for real tingle. It felt like ants were crawling all over my head. It was the weirdest feeling. Maybe its growing?

So now I want to wash my hair but unfortunately being back in school (Spring Break is over ) doesn't give me much time in the evenings and I will have to wait until Saturday. I'm not tingling today so I should be fine.

I am trying to plan my hair for the weekend but it's kinda hard with I don't know what my husband has up his sleeve. I want to try the style that IB suggested:

Sorry to here about your experience at work, but i can agree with you working in an environment that tests you from time to time will increase your patience and faith in God to deliver you from those people. Good luck on moving on to bigger and better things.

I like it the hair style. I attempted something kinda like that.



But I have no idea how to 2 strand flat twist the back of my hair...I think that is the closest I'll get to a fauxhawk.

That is close. For the hawk I plan to do some chunky twists for wearing it out and then smaller ones to turn it into a protective style for the week

That sounds like it will come out lovely. I gott attempt that rollerset again this weekend before i start that Twist challenge.
