lol I do this too! I have been locked for 5 years and from the beginning I have LOVED the feeling of the new growth meeting the lock..for awhile I had to always wear my hair up to help stop me from touching it..I did notice dryness and even a little breaking because of it.

I too have this problem, mostly the front (I guess cause it's the easiest to access ~lol~), and I'm still transitioning. I fully expect it to get worse in May when I cut the permed ends off Laughing

I had to twist my hair up to keep from touching it so much haha.
I love the twists so much i keep trying to style them so im trying to make them last two weeks therefore i REFUSE to touch them.....Haa I doubt it.

I am so guilty of this. I used to do this when I was growing out a relaxer...always touching the new growth. I've been all natural for a while but only started taking better care of my hair since February and the HIH is worse than ever. Gotta control myself Laughing

It didnt last I washed the twist after 3 days and can't stop HIH! haha
