@hdthomas, when u twisted your hair what products did you use? I just took out my micros yesterday and twisted my hair today, but i had to use some beeswax to hold the ends ( i havent BC'd yet) and I also had to use rods to get them (the ends) to curl.

I also meant to ask how small you did your twists or if someone else did them for you.

Re: I guess you call this a twist out?
Ashea shea butter about $10 for the 4oz. jar (one n pic). someone else twisted them. she did them dry. just wash your hair, air dry n detangle. and they wer pretty small. all i did was twist the twist backwards so the two parts came apart so i guess you can say the twists wer twice as big as the curls n the pic. hope this helps!!

Re: I guess you call this a twist out?
@ KCCassie, im not to sure wat to do about your ends though. the only thing i can think of is putting your hair on the rods after the twists..maybe that can camouflage the straight ends. oh yea..and make sure when you twist its not like the regular twists. you do them in the same method as sineglese twists. i have know clue wat to call it so i hope i didnt complicate things more [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] . but it makes a big difference in how it looks wen you take the twists out

Re: I guess you call this a twist out?
hdthomas,
I am the queen of twist/twist outs and I can tell you there is not product that will make your hair look like a twist out without twisting your hair.
Some conditioners work for wash n gos.....VO5 Strawberry and cream works for me and Gels work for wash n gos too. I lot of curlies use Ecostyler Olive oil gel for wash n gos.
Hope this helps.
BTW, that twist out looks great!!!

Great results, your hair looks great! I don't know abt it looking the same but have you tried Kinky Curly Curling Custards, I swore by it when my hair was shorter. I like my results with it at this length too BTW. I have heard great things abouot the Eco Styling gel although I have never used it. I am wearing a WnG right now and I used Afroveda Pur Wipped Jelly. Also check MahoganyCurls on YT she can help, but I am so sure some other curlies will chime in. HIH

Thanx again hdthomas. I see that you're in DC, I am too. What salon did you go to and how much did it cost for the twists (if you went to one)?

Re: I guess you call this a twist out?
hdthomas this is my hair using echostyler olive oil gel It might work on your hair for a wash n go b/c its short in length I think you should give it a try. Just apply in sections and run your fingers through it I suggest leaving a leave in condish under it to combat crunchy hair. Apply on very wet hair and let air dry once dry run a light moisturizer through your hair this will soften the curls and in the morning a steamy shower revives the curls HTH it works for me at this length. Wish I had known about it when I had a TWA. Let me know if you decide to try it. Warning It will take a long time to dry so start early!
