Curls Lay Down

Hi Ladies,

Im just wondering how can I get my curls to lay down and not up? I love my curly fro but there are days when I just want them to lay down like wet &nd wavy hair! lol

Are there any solutions to curls lay down? Please Help!

I love to layer products to have less volume. I will the following to sopping wet hair in at least six sections--oil (EVOO, EVCO, castor), thick conditioner (Aubrey Organics' White Camellia, Island Naturals, Honeysuckle Rose) and gel (Eco Styler clear, Afroveda's pur whipped gelly). I will then twist, if I have time, in large twists or braids (two to four).

Have you tried Kinky Curly Knot Today and Curling Custard? When I use both my hair has more control and isn't as volumious. Actually, I stopped using Knot Today because it gave me too much hold. I use KCCC when I want that wet look.

I'd sell my little sister's left elbow for more volume and here y'all are trying to lessen it!!! I remembered how excited I was after my BC, waiting for my curls to stand up.

Those suckers sat down and have YET to perk up! Be grateful y'all have naturally big hair because some of us are volume-challenged! (le sigh)

Oh don't get me wrong I want and love big hair - that has been my lustful desire for quite some time. However, because my hair isn't shaped my hair doesn't look 'right' to me. Now the shrinkage is something totally different. It snatches my volume from me. I look like I have this little short compacted afro. Actually, hair is about 3-4 inches below my collar bone. And this is what I get when my hair dries most days.

Thankfully it grew a bit after it dried, but this isn't big hair =/

Here I'm working with a little more volume but my hair actually reaches to the pocket on my jacket. I should have bigger hair man!

I got this much volume from pulling and fluffing for almost 20 minutes...20 minutes ugh!!!!

I know I get more volume from my hair when I use a cream styling product with light hold on sopping wet hair and stretch it out.
