Eco styler olive oil gel

I recently purchased eco styler olive oil gel and hear that it is best to have a leave in conditioner underneath it to define your curls better. Well I have Giovanni leave in conditioner. Will that work or do I have to use something like herbal esscense hello hydration, moister manic or something like that? Please tell me what combination works great for you. Thanks in advance.

Any leave in conditioner works.. I use organic olive oil leave in and then apply then gel and it doesnt build up or anything

I love it.. it is crunchy at first but once it dries, it looks really nice, i also use it for my two strand twist.

I was wondering-- are there any users of this product out there that are protein-sensitive? Me and protein do NOT get along.
