Hola muchacha, Happy Cinco de Mayo a tu tambien!
I hope you the best in your challenges. With consistency and focus you will succeed, just post what you are doing and we, your CN family, will do our best to keep you in line .
I sometimes do chose my products based on style. For instance, when wearing long term styles like twists, I focus on heavily moisturizing products and products with hold. When doing my hair every day for WnGs (man is the summer here yet), I like to use moisturizing products but not my super duper ones (they are usu. more expensive).

Thanks Chrs. I am working on posting more pics, that's the only thing that I haven't been doing consistently. I just always seem to forget my camera or forget to post or upload.
Yeah I think the Curlesque will be great for my out styles. I'm going to do a trial run with it tomorrow. Me and the GF are going to a 70's themed night at a local club so I'm aiming for big hair, probably some kind of twist out or curly fro.

Re: Natural in Wonderland
Good morning Ladies!
I hope that you didn't party too hard last night! Since I am on a finess regimen, my GF and I opted to stay home, listen to latin music, and make turkey tacos. We did have some tequila but it was only one shot each. I'm sticking to it!!!!
In hair news I am rocking the fro for another day. My hair was pretty flat after my activities last night, even wearing the satin bonnet. I just misted Seffy with my moisture mist and massaged her a bit, and she magically came back to life. My GF was pretty impressed, as was I. She is still super soft and moist.
Tomorrow the GF and I are going to a 70's themed club night. We are both dressing up and I want to switch up my hair a bit. I think that I am going to attempt a curly fro or a quick twist-out or braidout. I may use the Curlesque but I'm not sure yet. I need something that is going to pretty quick prep wise, my GF made an app't for me at the nail shop for as soon as I get home, don't wanna muss my nails doing my hair! If my job was more relaxed I'd prep tonight and wear a headwrap all day tomorrow but that ain't happening.
I'll figure something out. Wish me luck!!!!

Re: Natural in Wonderland
Happy Fridays Curlistas!
I see that the qoute/multi=quote has been disabled for now. Kinda sad but as you can see ^^^ cut-n-paste works just as well.
Today is another spritz and fluff fro day. I think I may have figures out a style for tonight but I'm not going to say anything so that way of I'm not shamed if I run out of time and have to do something quick.....Actually WTH : I think that I'll pick out the back and either braid or bantu knot the front. I know it's bit risky to try new styles the night of an event but that's the great thing about being Natural, if all else fails just wet it and go!
I PROMISE there will be pics.
Hope everyone has a great weekend!!
Love!

Re: Natural in Wonderland
LOL at the risky part! It's VERY risky to try a new style when you know you have to go somewhere, but a lot of the time that risk pays off big time and you can never re-create the style as fiercely as you did the first time! So I'm hoping for fabulous hair
Flat twists!
Happy Monday Ladies!
I hope that everyone had a beautiful Mother's Day. Mine was very low
key. My Mom graduates with her Master's next week so she said that she
wants do wait until then to celebrate. I just made some calls to family
and friends who are like family to wish them a Happy Mother's Day.
In Hair News:
Remember how I told you that we (my GF and I) were going to a 70's theme
night on Friday and how I was all in tizzy on what style to do? Well I
ended up doing flat twists in the front and a puff in the back. Cute and
basic.
I was pleasantly surprised that I flat twisted with out many problems. Originally I was going to cornrow the sections but I always have problems starting the braid. We were on a time schedule so I wanted to do something that was pretty quick.
It actually inspired me to work on my flat twists and practice my braiding. Then the rest of the weekend came and that didn't happen lol. I also used my TIGI Curlesque for the first time. I'm loving the results that I've gotten but I want to use it more before I give it my full endorsement. SO far so good tho.
Here's what I did:
Cowashed and combed hair with Aussie Moist
Applied Curlesque Hydrating Conditioner while I finished in the shower
Rinsed with warm water and then with cool
Wrapped Seffy in a tshirt to remove excess moisture
Applied one pump of the Curlesque Leave-in
Sectioned off hair for flat twists
Applied shea butter to all sections
Flat twisted the front sections and used my hands to fluff the back
Appled Curlesque Defining Serum to the puff
Today I am rocking a wash n go with the Curlesque products and shea butter. The combination makes my hair very soft with some nice sheen to it. My kinks and coils are definitely poppin!
Gonna stroll thru the neighborhood and see what's up with y'all.

Re: Natural in Wonderland
Oh! I didn't tell you the best part about Friday. We get to the club around 11:30ish. It's a lesbian event so we're expecting to see dozens of ladies decked out in their 70's finest.
As you can see I went for more of a boho look. My GF was resplendent in a pastel key lime green vintage suit that belonged to her grandmother; high waist pants, matching jacket, wide collar, the works.
We walk in and there is a live band playing latin jazz. A little wary we go to the bar and order drinks. We grab a table and admire the decor. There are no (visible) lesbians besides us. There is no one in 70's attire besides us. I double check my FB events...it's this Friday the 14th!!!!
We write it off as a trial run for this week. HAHHAHAHA!!!

Awwww, Femme, it sounds like you and your GF were looking fierce. I see you were looking fierce.
I love your makeup! What do you use or suggest under the brow bone to brighten the eye? I was watching an HSN or similar channel and I was amazed at how this product applied under the brow bone opened up the eye. The product was by Mally (sp?). BTW, there is a makeup thread under Skin Care. We would love your input.
Thanks for the Mother's Day recognition!

Don't worry Chrs, I will post updated pics of this weeks outing. I just checked out the thread. I can't wait to post some looks on there! I'm not a makeup everyday person but I do tend to go all out!
Under the brow bone I suggest using something lighter than your skin tone and with a little shimmer. In the pic above I am using Make Foreever Aqua Eyes Liner in a peal pink. I have also used light colored eyeshadows.
@JClena: Thanks hun! Not sure why your post didn't copy...sorry about that!

Re: Natural in Wonderland
Happy Hump Day Beauties!
Thanks for all the nice words about by 70's look. This week the hair will just be in a puff because Saturday I am going to try a new updo. My Mom is graduating with her Master's Sunday and I wanted to do something fancy with my hair. Since I have (kinda) mastered flat twists I was thinking of flat twisting the back and sides and then two-strand twist the top. Does that make sense? I don't really have any visuals . Hopefully it will be as cute in reality as it is in my head. If it does work, I'll have a new protective style that I can wear for at least a week.
