I finally BC'ed!

Hello curlies!

I just big chopped on Dec. 18th and wanted to share it with all who inspired and continue to inspire me daily. I loooove this website and it is such a wonderful platform for young women aspiring to go natural! Keep it up ladies!

I chopped the front and my mother did the back. In the weeks leading up to my BC, my mother was sooo against me cutting my hair, now she loves it! I was terrified at the thought of cutting my hair because it has never been this short. When it actually came time for me to snip, I was so calm. I cant even explain the feeling, it was just that awesome! lol

CONGRATS to you too and your hair is beautiful as well! I commend you on having the courage to do this at 16. I NEVER would have had the guts to do this while I was in high school!

My regimen so far has been hot oil treatments with Carols Daughter Lisa's Hair Elixir, shampooing with Giovanni 50/50, cowashing with a combo of Aussie Moist/Herbal Essences Hello Hydration, then after cowashing I use Garnier Fructis Sleek and Shine Leave In mixed with Soft & Beautiful 3-n-1 Botanical Oil (this oil contains mineral oil so I'll be trashing it for better oils like almond and jojoba soon) but it keeps my curls from drying...

Do you cowash everyday? I find myself having to cowash everyday b/c Im afraid my hair will dry out. When it dries it get really poofy!
