I just BCed!
Well I did it. I actually did it myself. I purchased scissors about a six weeks ago and have been trying (not very hard) to either get my BFF or sister to come over and cut my hair off. It just did not come together. So, I took my little one to his dad's and came home and cut my hair. I'll post pictures later. I'm sitting under my dryer doing a DC before my little comes home, but I think I'm happy. I have very different hair textures which I know alot of naturals do. It'll be interesting getting one look out of it. After I washed I had curls, so I think I'll go for a wash n go when I'm done.
Thanks for all the support ladies!
Much Love,

Right now I'm baggying with EVOO, castor oil and jojoba oil. I plan to co-wash in the morning and rock a wash-n-go. I have to attend my brother's wedding tomorrow so I pray it looks good!
I plan to check out some you-tube videos soon! What about you?

Re: I just BCed!
Thanks everyone.
RayRay - you'll have to share your regimen with me. Now that I've gotten rid of the perm I feel like I'm starting over again.
FreckledMom. You're right. I can't wait to do a twist out with my smoothie. Maybe tomorrow!
Shamonica -
I haven't had a perm since April 2009, but I wasn't transitioning. I just had braids and wasn't perming. I actually made a decision to go natural in late May of this year. I had been wearing Kinky Twist pretty regularly for a few years. This time when I removed my twist I had major damage. My hair was so broken off and dry. I wasn't taking care of it under the braids. I never do but this time it was particularly bad. A friend suggested I try going natural. Her mother twisted out my hair and I decided to go for it. So, I say I have been transitioning for just under 3 months.

Re: I just BCed!
well I love Shea moisture products!!! so I just changed my whole regime to this product line with a few with a few exceptions
Shampoo: with Shea moisture Coconut & Hisbicus Curl Control
Conditioner: Shea moisture Raw Shea Restorative Conditoner
Leave In: Giovanni Direct Leave In
Oils: I mix coconut oil, EVOO, and Castor oil (I love Castor oil its real thick and I heard it promotes hair growth) I also use rosemary oil in my mix
Butters: I LOVE SHEA BUTTER!! it leaves my hair so so soft (but I lil goes a long, too much and my hair look like a sticky hot mess)
Stylers: Eco Styler Gel!! I love this gel it defines my curls so well and doesnt give me that hard feeling (I only use a lil bit)
i also love Shea moisture curl enhancing smoothie, style milk, and mist to moistures my hair!! I love tha whole line
i co wash my hair everyday! (I have a twa so wash n go's are very easy) after I wash my hair I apply Giovanni Direct leave in and seal my hair either with my oils or shea butter. I then use the Shea moisture curl enhancing smoothie (for some extra moisture, its not great with defining though)...in the morning i refresh my hair with a spritz I made consisting of water, glycerine, and 3 drops of rosemary oils (this wakes up my curls!!) after that i apply a lil bit more gel to control and hold my curls and go on with my day
it sounds like a lot!! but its not..Ive been natural now for 3 weeks and I'm already seeing growth!!
Oh yea i also deep condition every sunday with Shea moisture deep treatment masque and I wash my hair with the shampoo once a week to get rid of product build up
Ive never experienced a dry TWA so I love the regime im on now..and I ABSOLUTELY love Shea moisture as you can tell!!!
