So I have been transitioning for about 3.5 months but lately I've been itching to cut it off rather than wait the year that I had intended on. Last night I went out to eat with some friends, one of who is a natural who just BC'd herself about 3 months ago(for the 2nd time). She heard me say I wanted to go natural and we decided we should just go cut it right then! We called up the best barber shop in town and asked who was good at cutting women's hair and we went! It was funny because one of the barbers pled with me not to cut it saying I was beautiful and had nice hair. LOL...but by the end he said "can I still get your number your hair looks good!"

I had a headband in and my hair was flat ironed so it was hard to see my new growth so I just told him to take it really low. I figure it's just hair and having 4 friends there really helped! I love my hair and I feel so free.

If I had to do it all over again, I'd go to a barber, too! Your hair looks AMAZING! It's going to be so cool to watch it grow with you over the next few months!

you don't have to lol! But it's easy once you get to the point where you're ready! I have no patience and it was hard for me to deal with both textures so I chopped. But long term transition is a great option too Smile
