Need help!

Post by shugashawn on 1st October 2010, 12:01 am

I am so thankful for this site...I am taking my locs out (after 10yrs). Been looking at some styles and gathering info for products and treatment etc. I guess I need to know what is the first thing I should do after I get my locs out. (Shampoo, condition, sealing,etc...) what styles should I consider at first and what styles should I stay away from. I have 4b hair and this is something that I am hesistant about but I think I am ready. Please help! Thanks Neutral

Hi Nikki

I went to Eart Fare & purchased some Surya henna Applied it as the directions stated When applying it it felt like mud it was falling all on the floor & everywhere What I want to know is this henna a good one & do I always have to follow the directions that are on the box for a good treatment
I am 5 months nautral so I feel like I'm n the inbetween stages of my hair to short to do any twist & jus wearing a afro right now Is it ok to henna with my hair length

Hi Nikki

I don't know if you have answered this question already, but I am looking for a leave-in that I can purchase in the stores. I have really dry 4 something hair. I have tried to use the Shea Moisture products but they really don't do anything for my hair. I live in Nothern Louisiana and it is dry here. I am skeptical about buying products on the web because I hate paying shipping cost and I don't know I my hair is going to react.

Help!!!

Hi Nikki! I was wondering if you could recommend a good water-based moisturizer. Thanks in advance.

CN:

Here is a product for you to review: Pantene Curly Hair Series Deep Moisturizing Treatment . I use it as my deep conditioner, co-wash/detangler and to leave in and it works great. And I think it smells really good Very Happy.

RE: Ask Curly Nikki

Hi Nikki! I'm new to the community and I have a question. I am natural and 7 months ago I flat ironed my hair with an fhi runway flat iron on 450 degrees. Long story short, I did this every two weeks for a month and when I washed my hair after the second straightening, I noticed that my hair was straight and would not curl. I guess it's safe to assume that I have damaged my natural hair. Is there anyway I can revert that straight hair? Would a hair steamer work, or do I have to start all over again by cutting the straight parts out? Please help Smile Thanks in advance Smile

Hello. The question has somehow fixed itself. My hair looks better. I damaged by heat, because I was a straightener for many years. So I try to do, because I'm not a girl curled for the moment. Thank you!
