I don't like flowers on me...

I am in the dreaded not a TWA but no real length stage. I am struggling to figure out cute things to do at the moment so I am trying to up my accessory game. Trying brainstorm for some good accessory ideas outside of "the flower in hair." I don't like the way they look on me and they don't really fit me (if that makes sense)

Do any of you ladies have any other accessories that you love?

I used a LOT of colorful headbands and scarfs that were folded or twisted up and used as a headband.

I actually had different colors and patterns for every outfit that I owned. lol

I just cut my hair back to a medium sized afro and while I do like the flowers for my hair, I also like other items. Not sure what they are called but those little gems that you can twist into braids or flat twists are very pretty.. You can wear a hat, cap, beanie, beret, head scarves, head bands.. really it's limited to your imagination and style.

Agreed with the advice so far. Try to stay true to your style. It's funny because I thought I was not a "flower girl" but then I realized that I'm not a girl who likes "huge flowers", if you know what I mean. I wasn't feeling the almost bald haircuts with a gigantic flower tacked on the side. I just left it alone so it took me about 3 or 4 months to be comfortable with hair accessories because I never worn adornments in my hair outside of an occasional clip/headband. I found multi-strand headbands, cloth bands, small combs/designed clips, and subtle flower combs and clips that work for me. I find cute accessories in Forever 21, Claire's, The Icing, and vintage boutiques.

I use headbands when I feel like spicing up my hair. Flowers and such are too much for me
ETA you could also just do a regular puff and go with bolder earrings

scarfs, babuskas, combs with rhinestones, butterflies, bows, feathers. Go to a Claires (accessories store) and you should be able to get tons of ideas.

Yea...even with alot of hair on your head not a big flower fan. I love the stretch head bands with like diamonds and stuff on it. They lay flat to your head kinda like these.
