I LOVE LOVE LOVE this style on her! She is in love with it as well. The side is flat twisted (as you can see, my skills are improving) and it didn't take long at all! :yep:
But i just thought id share with you guys!

I love it! When I try to twist my daughter's hair, it just shrinks up like crazy!
Did you do her hair once it was dry or do you have any tips to help the twists hang? TIA

I do it on dry hair and as far as the hang, make sure you twist it tight from the roots and twist in down instead of holding the hair out

Thank you but I need to work on my flat twisting. I just can't get them to stay on the scalp. They loosen up easily. I see you didn't use rubberbands at the end of the flat twist, how are you getting them to stay so tightly?

When i twist it, i grab small pieces as i twist and i twist it all the way back. when i get to the end of the cornrow, i just twist it like you would regularly but make sure the flat twist is going in the direction that you would normally twister her hair.
If you grab big pieces as you flat twist, it won't stay tight or down.

Makes sense. I'll give it a try grabbing smaller pieces. Thanks!

Thanks, I'll try that. I normally twist my daughter's hair while it's damp but dry is probably best! She'll love the hang and bounce!
