I've been transitioning for 2 months and my bantu knot out often looks like black broccoli.... but today it was THE BUSINESS!!!

So this morning as I'm coming in to work, it's sprinkling. You know - that rain that's just enough to irritate you and mess yo' hair up. Well this morning, for the first time in God knows how long, I actually walked in the rain w/no umbrella and didn't give not a single solitary flip about my hair. That felt good.

My husband can be so ass backwards some times...he has stated that he loved my natural hair...and thought it fit my face! Now all of a sudden he is bored with it and would love for it to be straight like it was when we started dating...funny guess he wants me to go back to that same golden brown/orange color too that he hated so much!!!!

I have totally failed at my attempt to NOT buy anymore hair stuff. I just ordered a tub of shea butter, plus I got some of that Herbal Essences Hello Hydration conditioner when I was out earlier.

It's gonna be 80° here today - and 50° tomorrow.

On a hair note, I did a homemade DC last night (2 tablespoons of HE Hello Hydration, 1 tablespoon of Giovanni Conditioner, 1 tablespoon of EV coconut oil, 1 teaspoon of EVOO, and 1 teaspoon of my Africa's Best Ultimate Oils). I slept in it w/a shower cap under my scarf.

I'm 46. I was natural until I was about 22 or so. Back then, we just washed and conditioned and kept it moving. It was so much easier. Plus there wasn't a whole lot to remember.

I've had BC'ing on the brain for about 2 weeks now. I may have to stop by the BSS on the way home to by a wig in case I can't stop myself and need a back up plan for work tomorrow.

The hardest part about me moving, other than the fact that I will have to leave my dog for a month, is that I just found a great stylist!! UGHHHHHH.....
