I figured out how to make whipped Shea Butter (yay!) but I haven't been able to master cocoa butter. It gets hard as soon as I finish it. Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance Smile

You need more liquid. Meaning add more oil. Experiment to see what you need.

Actually I wanted to use the cocoa butter for my face and skin. Idk about my hair yet. I know their's certain oils I can't put in the cocoa because I know my face doesn't like them (coconut, olive)

I tried to make it this past December and the mixture turned out hard, just like yours. I got frustrated because it was my second time making it and I didn't want hard butter. I just added a huge amount of oils (while it was still hard) to it and stirred with a spoon. The mixture turned out (and STAYED) nice and fluffy, so maybe that is the trick to whipped cocoa butter. You can make a whipped cocoa butter. However, the shea butter is butter soft. You can whip around on her own and whip until creamy. Cocoa butter is very hard, brittle butter. It's gonna be the whip on his own. You have to whip it with another oil - sunflower, safflower, almonds are all good options. Just melt, add the oil and whip-gel method / whip. You can start at 60% oil, cocoa butter 40%, then there - is much trial and error to understand how firm or soft you want.

Would you all be so kind to post the ingredients and methods you used for a successful batch of whipped cocoa or shea butter, please? Also, where one might find the raw ingredients. I'm very interested; I'm sure others are as well. Thanks!
