get a small one or sample size to test the products first before you buy the big one

I've used CareFree Gold and it worked pretty well. I wanted to try Scurl as well but never got around to it. There's many women, natural and relaxed, who swear by it.

I use S Curl on my Wash and Go's and I like it. It keeps my hair soft and curly. I have to use it in moderation because it tends to build up.

I used to use Care Free Curl liquid activator in my daughter's hair. Her hair never looked better. For the past few months, I've been trying to duplicate the fantastic results with more organic products, but no luck yet. Ill keep trying.

@milwaukeechic...
i don't even know what brand curl activator u put up there b/c it didn't show up, but there are a few curl activators that are good out there, but everything works differently; the ones that say moisturizer on them are good~

I have used care free gold and hawaiian silky 14:1. Both are pretty good but just not for me.
Over on LHCF there are some curlactivator challenges and a couple of gals with extremly long hair, like waist length and they live by the activator

I could not see your picture but I keep Hawaiian Silky 14-n-1 in the house. It is great moisture and I love it. Not too greasy either. I do not use it in the winter time because of the glycerin content.
Re: DO u reccommend Curl Activator?
Worlds of Curls Curl Activator Gel for Extra Dry Hair is my favorite curl product. A little goes a long way and it provides soft, poppin' curls and leaves my hair so MOISTURIZED, soft and just ooh! I also like Hawaiian Silky Miracle Worker 14-in-1 but Care Free Curl Instant Moisturizer is thebomb.com.

Re: DO u reccommend Curl Activator?
Someone just posted that and the link said that it is because our hair is super moisturized at that time. If you can keep your hair at that moisture level then you will have those curls. This is a FANTASTIC link. I am going to have to read it again because it was alot of info to digest.

DreamMerchant, that website helped me understand and care for my natural hair when I big-chopped. I wish more naturals who have trouble with their hair would go that site. Things would become a whole lot clearer.

Thanks for the link. I always learn something new on this site.
I began using Aubrey Organics Sea Buckthorn leave in liquid conditioner and curl activator when my hair became very dry after my BC. I apply it after my DC and before my leave in. It helped my fine porous hair retain moisture.

Re: DO u reccommend Curl Activator?
Hawaiian Silky Curl Activator is amazing ...I stopped using it because of the propylene glycol but after a little research I've realized it's really not harmful, so I'm definitely going back to it. Glycerin is okay in the winter as long as it's mixed w/ water for it to draw moisture from or in a water based product.
