Bangs or no bangs????

Hey Ladies!! I have been seeing a lot of pics of curly girls with bangs and I like that look. I haven't had bangs since I was like, I dunno, 8!! LOL But my questions are these:

1 - I have some hair that has broken off somehow at the front but kind of the sides of my front of my hair --->

so should I cut the rest of the front hair to match it and rock a bang?? Or should I just try a long bang first (I dunno how that would work being long) to see if i even like having them.

2 - how do you prevent breakouts on your forehead from having that hair laying on the skin like that? Are there any ways to combat that?

I haven't cut my hair that much in forever so I don't know. What do y'all think???

My bangs are faux bangs. My hair just grows slower in the top. So I use bobby pins to create a bang. You should try that first.

I have no clue about bangs. I'm pretty much like Lynn, my hair just grows like that. Never thought of pinning them though
But as for the breakouts. I used to have horrible breakouts from wearing my hair in my face. Now that my products are all natural, no matter how I wear my hair I only have one pimple that will show up for about 3 days out fo the month and .......don't act like you don't know why ..LOL
But yeah....sometimes breakouts are not hormonal, it's due to your hair products.

LOL @ NhappyJackie!!!! I gotchya!!! but only one?? That's pretty good. I'm 33 and still get regular bumps every now and then, NOT just at THAT time either!!! So even with the oils you don't break out on the forehead?

Hey there! I don't really have a problem with my forehead breaking out and I pretty much always wear bangs... But I don't really use a lot of oil in my hair either. If you decide to wear bangs, just make sure you're not too heavy on the oil and you pull them up at night. Works for me! I do agree with Lynnieluv. Maybe you should try the faux bang before you cut...

Yeah those are both bery cute. How long is your hair now? Do you have much further to go to get that with your hair???

mmm im not sure of the exact length but i had a pic of it in my hair type but most of my hair has perm on the ends the area i cut are way too small for chunky bangs i want those big ol bangs with pooufy hair im only 9 months into my transition

I'm glad you caught my drift..LOL!!! But no break outs even from the oils. I acutally use a mixture of sheabutter and oils to moisturize my face/body daily and cleansing.
