Creating "Bangs" Empty Creating "Bangs"

Post by marcysuburbs 7th December 2010, 10:32 pm

I'm sure this has been discussed before but I see all my type 4 ladies that get the front of their hair to lay flat so they can have a "bang" and no matter what I do, when I fluff to get rid of part lines, my hair starts standing up? How do you ladies do it? Even with the help of gels, gravity can't keep it down. I think my hair's at a length now where I can actually rock a bang but it just needs to stay down!

Help, lol!

When I do my twists, I have a few ways to make em stay put. I always twistm to the front of my face and anchor w/ a roller. I tie my head up with a scarf making sure the bang part is in front. If all else fails, I use a bobby pin to hold it in place, lol.

Lynnie..this is a very nice pic. What styler did you use for your twist out? They are very defined.

Thanks!! This twist out was done on "old" hair so I only used Butters n Bars Aloe Spritzer and Hairveda's cocasta shikakai oil. As my hair gets longer, I am finding it doesnt matter which product/styler I use, I will always have a defined twist out.

Are the bobby pins just at the top to make your hair/bangs lay down.

i twist my hair towards the front and to the sides for this pic. i didnt use pins bc i started with a flat two stand twist and i wanted it to be "big" when i took it out.

Thanks so much ladies!

Gotta remember bobby pins and twisting towards the front

Hopefully when I take these kinky twists out in a couple of weeks I can rock some bangs for the holidays.
