Half natural half perm??
Hello
Question? If i perm JUST the front only am i still a natural or am i a FAKE!!!!Why i ask is because, i like my BABY hair in the front to be stright when i pull it up.What do you think? I went natural because im tired of wasting money on weave, wasting money. I want to embran ce my real hair.

Yeah, and if you "want to embrace my real hair" then relaxing it would be just the opposite. Don't do the creamy crack. especially not for the baby hairs!!! Those hairs are even more fine and would probably be more susceptible to breakage if you relax them. Shoot, just get you some gel or oil and slick them bad grils down!!!! Don't do the relaxer.

Just let it grow, and trust in a little gel.

ORS Edge Control is something that one of my friends says works really well.
Here's a link from the forum:

You will find something to replace the relaxer.

I wouldn't say your a fake, since only the front is relaxed, but maybe you can transition the front. There are so many things out there to smooth the front out.
I don't know your hair type, but Olive Oil Eco Styler Gel works amazingly on my edges and I have 4a hair with some 3c.

My cousin relaxes the front of her hair and I think it works pretty well for her... you can't tell that the front is relaxed at all and her ponytails/updos are fierce! I understand everyone's opinion but I think to each their own and relaxing the very front of your hair isn't going to demand the same transition process like a full perm would. Natural is a relative term that is debated in many, many different circles and I'm not about to try to declare what it is or isn't.
If you do plan to do it, be very very careful and aware of the fact that things can go wrong (too straight/uneven look/damage) and that the front of your hair is the weakest. My cousin primarily wears weave/braids and the occasional classy bun so this works for her.... If you're planning to wear your hair out like in a twist and curl it might cause problems because the front of your hair would shine differently than everywhere else and you would have to keep up with the maintainance.
For right now I would agree with the others, try to keep your hair moisturized to promote growth and experiment with different gels and techniques. I'm pretty sure you'd hate to perm part of your hair when it could be smooth and slick without it.
HTH!

Hicks Total Transformations- Hicks Edges is a product I used when I first started to transition. I think the product works well when you want your hair to be straighter when wearing a headband but I rarely use it now because I keep my hair in flat twists and twist outs. I had to use a small amount because when I used to much it would leave a white residue.
