I hope you share the amla coconut milk mix. I saw breezybaby's post and thought it would work.
I will be back--looking forward to results of mix and hair.

Good evening dolls:
So here is my Friday night post. I tried 2 things different tonight. I got the 1/2 can of coconut milk I had in the frige and put it in a pot with a peppermint tea bag and put it on very low to infuse the tea in the milk. Then I washed my hair with diluted Revlon detangling shampoo (red bottle) and finger detangled. I then went back to the stove and stirred the milk and tea liquid (smelled so good) then poured it little by little into the 50 gms Alma and 50 grams Orange peel powder mix (I ran out of Shikakai). Next I mixed until nice and creamy then I added a little castor/EVOO mix I had laying around. Then I applied to hair like a perm and also applied it to my face and neck. Covered the hair with plastc cap and a shower cap and waited for 45 minutes before rinsing out. Upon wash out the hair felt not as moisturized as I had hoped but that's Amla, so I wasn't worried. I then rinsed out several times and used Suave coconut condish (because I was food shopping one day and it was on sale for 75 cents and prior to this I noticed alot naturals love it) to aid in that effort. The Suave was ok but I like Tresemme mositure rich condish better in this transition phase. I did noticed my curls were popping. Once that was complete, I used AO HSR for my deep condish tx. I also applied that like a perm. I then placed 2 plastic caps and a towel wrap on my head (no heat). And will wait for 45 mins until rinse out. I expect my hair to be super soft. It better be, darn relaxed ends:-(

I hope with your treatment your ends are soft too. But if they're still dry, you could always just go ahead and do your BC early.

Re: IntelligentBeauty;-)
Good Saturday morning,
I just wanted to tell you how the SPA night ended last night. So once I washed out my DC, my hair was soft. YIPPEEE!! Also my face was nice and soft and clean. LOVE THAT!!!
But when I looked in the mirror to begin to style, I saw pieces of powder still in my hair.GRRRR!! Now that has never happened to me before. Maybe it was because of the coconut milk or maybe because I decided to rinse out my hair in the kitchen sink instead of in the shower. I don't know but whatever it was it made me very angry . I had to stand there with my head upside down over the kitchen sink running cold water over my head. GRRRRR!!! . Well once that was all over I then got some more AO HSR and put it on my hair again and did a quick rinse. Next I began to style I sprayed diluted lottlabody and pulled up the back of my hair with my whipped shea butter mix and pinned it up. I then had a particular way I wanted to roll my hair but quickly saw that not going to happen. So then I proceeded to do a twist and rod set on the rest of the hair exposed. I applied a generous amount of whipped shea mix to every section I did. I must say detangling was not a big issue and hair shedding was so minimal that I didn't even take pics of it. So overall it was a good thing.
Here are the pics:
This is always the shampoo I used that is diluted in water. I have a huge bottle that I must finish then I will be done with this type of shampoo. Great detangler though.
Here are the ingredients I used for the treatment.
Here is the actually amla/orange peel mix.
The conditioners for cowash and DC.
Here is the pin up. I guess I can also use this as a texture shot.
I WILL NOT UNRAVEL UNTIL TOMORROW AND WILL POST PICS ON MONDAY.
HAVE A WONDERFUL WEEKEND DOLLS.

I use the Creme of Nature Ultra Moisturizing Shampoo and yes it is a great detangler and it doesnt leave my hair with that stripped feeling. I only use it after I used MJ Baby Buttercream though.
I'm glad spa night went so well. Cant wait to see the pics.

Your amla treatment sounds great. I joined a challenge on LHCF for ayurveda. You should check it out if you have time. I plan to infuse oils with the powders and make teas with them.
Re: IntelligentBeauty;-)
@HN, Yes you need to invest some time during the week for yourself and the thing or things you love to do. Your own getaway, you know...lol
@CHRS, I will definitely have to check out that forum. Anything that I can mix up, I am in......lol.

I didn't think I could have have made it , some doubted me , others hated on me , and still others just knew that I would turn back to the creamy crack BUT I am here this morning to tell you my transitional journey is almost OVER. 2 more months to go and I will be a naturalista . AMEN, AMEN, AMEN.

I will enter His gates with thanksgiving in my heart.
I will enter His courts with praise.
I will say this is the day that the Lord has made.
I will rejoice for He has made me glad.
He has made me glad. He has made me glad.

"And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."
Philippans 4:7
I dedicate this scripture especially to the family of loved ones lost, still waiting, or intransition from the horrible effects of the earthquake in Haiti. My prayers and support goes out to you.
MLK DAY dolls:
I hope everyone will do something to reflect on this very important Federal holiday. We all know his birthday was the 15th but lets celebrate and reflect today, as the world will, on this man and his works, as well as all the other pioneers that came before us.
Well, I am feeling really good about my BC coming up. I am in my 10th month of transition as of yesterday and I have documented every treatment, product, and ingredient that I have used. I also have some written down that I can't wait to use on my 100% natural hair. I also made sure to reference where I got the info from so I can go back if I did something unclear. I am in the process now of organizing my notebook so I am totally organized for the next step. I have what shampoo treatments I will use, Indian powder treatments, clay treatments, a host of DC treatments, what will be in my spray bottle, and what will be my gels.
My new obession is looking at Fotkis now. I am even thinking about making one. (Oh, that will be alot of work ) Because I was figuring once this challenge is over, I may not be able to track on here anymore. I wonder if there is a way I could just transpose everything I wrote here to there. . That sounds like wishful thinking. So we will see.
I have even signed up at a brand, new gym that is openning on Wednesday near my home. I was relucant at first because I did not want to just spend money. I already have the WII FIT, a treadmill and an eliptical, but I was getting nowhere because I am either watching the kids or cleaning the house or cooking or spending time with my husband, when I am not at work. I use to run all the time before children then I fell off. Picked it up again after my 1st child. Oh, but the 2nd one is the charm , I fell completely off. So I decided that I needed to make an appointment with myself for some classes during the week. The gym has childcare, a lap pool, jacuzzi, sauna, many various classes, great hours (5am-11pm) all included in the price. So it's done. I need to get some cardio in, slim down this face and get this body in check by my BC date. I am determined to look FLY , with my new short cut .
I have also started talking to some stylist in my area and browsing many photos of TWAs. I am so leary of going to a stylist to have my hair cut. What if they cut too much? My natural friend was saying they have to cut some natural hair to give it style and make it even. I don't know if I like that. But I know in order for me to progress to where I want to be, I have to get rid of these permed ends.
On to my hair for this week, it feels soft. I like it. It's cute. My edges were such a problem in the beginning of my transition but now have filled in. I also have notice that I am conditioning so well, I do not seem to need a leave in conditioner anymore. Just my whipped shea/oil mix. That's cool.
I liked the way my hair came out on sunday and today. Today most of all, because it shows me what I will eventually look like in a ponypuff. So it's kind of a fake puff now because of the relaxed ends lol.
I WILL POST PICS WHEN I GET HOME LATER TODAY AND HAVE DETAILS ON WHAT I DID.
HAVE A FANTABULOUS DAY!!!!!

Thanks Lynn, I really hope I am ready.
@Shee, I am sorry that was the wrong word "crazy." You are on point and annointed. I know when you sing, the heavens open up and His glory comes down. We can keep doing a duet online though. LOVE IT!!! Oh, and thanks for the compliment.

Re: IntelligentBeauty;-)
Here are sunday's pic (day 1). I think I over did it on trying to get the hair to stay up in the back. I put watered down AO HSR as a leave in condish for the back and sides, then whipped shea/oil mix, then a little IC gel all for the sides and back. Then scarfed for 10 mins.
This is monday's hair (day 2). Just tied it down overnight. But used the ouchless band instead of the pins to pin up hair.
