Re: Black Friday
Thanks Lynnieluve, I was reading some posts in the other boards about Qhemet and it does seem like everyone uses Alma & Olive Heavy Cream...I have lots of thick type 4 hair so I am excited to see how it will do as a moisturizer. I have very dry hair...I also read that the Cocoa Tree detangling ghee is good too.

Yes, the Cocoa Tree detangling ghee is AMAZING!! I won some in a contest. It melts tangles, even on dry hair.

I am glad that I ordered my stuff at midnight for Oyin. Cuz already they sent me an email saying my stuff is in the mail. Can't wait to get the honey hemp conditioner and I also got the shine and define serum.
I was such a PJ this BF. I got so much stuff. Don't know how I am goin to use it all.

Re: Black Friday
Good looking out, Renny. In a previous message, you asked me what Lavera products were about. Well, they are organic, vegan products for hair and skin. They have several hypoallergenic products for
allergy-prone folks like me, and there are skin care products for eczema. It also has an education section that educates the consumer on ingredients (good/bad), an ingredient glossary, (which is helpful when I'm researching ingredients), and so much more. I used their conditioner and I was sold! It felt like silk for me, plus it smelled like eucalyptus and cleared my sinuses, lol!

Re: Black Friday
Has anyone used Hairveda products? I want to get one of the grab bags, but I haven't heard too many people talking about them, unless I missed it some where.
Re: Black Friday
@Twisted - do a search for Hairveda. I've seen lots of talk about the products on the boards. I haven't tried them. I don't need to try anything else.
Re: Black Friday
@Renny lol I don't need to try anything else new either since I have my two staple product lines. Maybe I should just stop while I am ahead lol
Re: Black Friday
@ TwistedKurlzz - I have the Cocasta Shikakai oil and LOVE IT!! I also have the Vatika Frosting (using it for the first time right now as a pre poo) and it smell just like cake frosting!!! Check out NubieNatty's CSJ! She is the one that got me to try the products.

Re: Black Friday
*so excited* I just ran to the health food store that sells Qhemet & was listed on the Qhemet website, near my city and picked up the alma & olive heavy cream and the olive and honey balm Sad that they do not carry the cocoa tree detangling ghee...guess I will have to wait until mid-January to purchase that online & my hair is so hard to detangle...oh well for now I'll just stick to the knot today. Either way, I'm super excited to try the Qhemet on my 1st braid out this week-so looking forward to seeing if I can keep my hair moisturized well with this product!
Does anyone know if it is ok to use eco custard with these products? I have a problem with hold & so far the eco custard has been the only thing that keeps my twist in shape for the full day....
Of course not! If that's the case I wouldn't have bought it for myself.
Twisted, I like Hairveda products a lot. I started using them when I was relaxed. My faves are the SitriNillah DC, Moist Condition 24/7, Whipped Gelly, and Cocasta oil.

@LaToya-I was joking with you..I didn't think for a second you were trying to sabotage us that's why I put the j/k lol in my post; it's hard to know ppl's personality on blogs unfortunately since it's all typing. Hope I didn't offend you-if so I didn't mean to and I apologize. I'll keep it kosher from now on :-)

I have heard of others using the heavy cream with eco. You can try it on a small section to see how it does or you can try mixing a little of the 2 products in your hand to see how they look together if you are concerned about the little white balls.

Re: Black Friday
Wow, that is amazingly fast! I didn't expect anyone to start receiving shipping notices for about a week or so.
Re: Black Friday
Just wanted to say that I tried the Qhemet Olive & Honey Hydrating balm (just a tiny bit on each of my twists before untwisting them this morning) and it is awesome! All day, for the first time since I have been trying to wear my natural hair in some sort of style besides a pony tail, my hair stayed very hydrated and you could see the shine in my twists & my hair feels so soft and good. I have type 4 hair so it is always dry but this balm has really cut the dryness down to zero. It is a little heavy on my hair but I love it. I'm not the type that likes fly away puffy big hair. I like it to be set and lay down, and it so did today. I'm so happy with this product. I did use the eco custard under the balm and that worked. I haven't tried the heavy cream yet but I bet it will also be awesome.[img][/img] I will try to post a pic but I'm not sure if I know how...well my avatar is my pic from today's great hair day
