Henna + Previous Color = :( Empty Henna + Previous Color = :(

Recently I purchased the Jamila Henna and I followed all the steps on the CN pictorial. I left the Henna in my hair over night so at the 12th hour I washed it out and realized that my blonde hair was now a redish orange color. It wasn't too too bad...but I was used to having my blonde hair color b/c i feel it fits me.So after using the henna my hair felt great...it was extra soft and my curls had streched a bit but I was prepared for that. But after doing HENNA, I wanted my color back but seeing that I had used that color for years I thought it would be ok to redye....but I was wrong. My hair is now a blonde orange color. I am so disappointed in the color but my hair really does feel wonderful. So now I'm torn because I love love love my hair color but I also just fell in love with HENNA the two don't mix so what am I to do? I thought that if you used Jamilia henna that it wouldn't alter your color??? Any suggestions, comments, ideas.... please help.

You should use cassia perhaps. it doesn't impart a red color to the hair. you will get the same conditioning effects as henna.

Jamila henna definitely does give a reddish orange color....cassia is the one that will turn white hair a light shade of blonde, and on darker hair it won't have a color effect.....
