Now concerning this low maintance stuff. I agree but Oprah said that us ladies shouldn't ever leave home with out mascara and lip gloss. I totally agree with that because without my mascara I look sick as all get out! However, every now and then I do the foundation, eyeshadow and the whole nine yards!! Still trying to get my skin regiment down before I add the foundation back into my daily routine!!! I do the OCM as well as a weekly bentonite clay treatment..now I need to get my morning regiment down.

I know what you mean about doing something for yourself sometimes. I would always make sure my sons had what they needed and I would put me last, but as they got older I found a balance. I still don't buy a lot for myself (other than hair products and jewelry) but I'm getting better. I still can't wait until my birthday...I'm going to do me in a big way!!!

yea so this makeup thing is becoming more fun by the day. after i dropped mason off at school i came home and killed time by tryin a new look, i think i pretty much threw something together to see what i'd end up with. i love my girls on the makeup thread cuz they truly inspire and motivate me. its like an extra PUSH to step outside of my norm and experiment. ok so i am soooooo mad cuz i had wrote a quick note earlier and soon as i hit SEND my laptop froze up! u talkin bout PISSED u know i write alot and i freestyle it so now i need to see what i remember....

ok so i did a twistout on the top cuz i still got it pinned up... FAIL!!! it turned out frizzy and now i look like a dirty tennis ball on top of my head. i tried to save it and retwist it but soon as i took it back out the SAME results . im gonna take my updo down and untwist those...HOPEFULLY it can match the top. i'd hate to have a messy frizz up top and well defined twist on the rest of my head on the flip side...its definitely uberly soft. feels like egyptian cotton . i still havent done anything other than spritz it every now n then and it stayed moisturized ALLLLLLL WEEK!!

im gonna try to keep my hands out of my head cuz i KNOW if i keep fondling with it im gonna end up look like jeromy rome from martin!

im gonna keep up w/the 30 day product challenge even though i definitely know im SOLD on qhemet always bein a keeper but im gonna try different combos. im guessing my twistout turned into a bust becuz i was heavy handed and also i'll blame the humidity . since its gettin warm im gonna use the burdock n tea gel this week. i dont use the gel for hold, mainly if im doin a puff but i'll also pair it w/the honey balm to see how that goes!

Also...afroveda sent me a notice of her sale today..$5 off the shikakai oil http://www.afroveda.com/hair-oils.html yall know this is my all time FAAAAVE!! im so tempted to hit submit **hands shaking** and ive been sparingly using it cuz i hate to run out. its normally $18 but if i take advantage of the coupon it'll tempt me to get something else from there to accommodate the shippin cost which is the only reason i havent hit SUBMIT yet!! she's also sending free samples out but i dont know if i wanna try the curl define or the coco mask

So the more i started playin with it...a light shined bright and the angels began to sing! a beautiful fro started to appear out of nowhere. i went from at my failed twistout to startin to like the outcome more n more



it just kept gettin bigger n bigger. i was also happy that my fingers would slip n slide in n out my tresses like a pimp thru a whore house, nice n easy!! that detangling ghee does wonders. its so soft and i cant keep my hands out!!



overall, i made the best out of it and i actually like the results. i will definitely be using this method for my fro day in july , now all i need to do is find me a pick, probably from walmart!!

LMAO at the not smiling pic. You crack me up. I like the neutral shimmer though! Tip for the cat eye look: use a eye PENCIL first to get your line in, THEN go over it with LIQUID. It'll make the liner a lot sharper and it'll LAST longer. Add a deep red lip for a HOT 50's retro look.

The make up is banging for real and making me want to go home and dress like a girl. Sephora and Mac has banging red lipstick. I used the red lipstick and a gloss over it for the POP!! I learned from Tyra that when you go to put on bold lipstick you should open your mouth, put your finger in it, close your lips in a puckered manner and then pull the finger out of your mouth. That will take the lipstick from the inner part of your lip. With that you will never have lipstick teeth.
