Any suggestions? Empty Any suggestions?

Post by anjealin259 6th October 2010, 5:50 pm

Ok ladies...I've been natural for a while and the twist out has been my signature style for a few years with lots of success; however, as my hair is growing my twist outs start to look different in the back because the tightest curls sit are right over the loosest curls giving off a "shag" effect even though it's all the same length. I have tried to do braid outs, TnCs, and twist outs (of course) but it always comes out with the same problem.

Any tips or suggestions on what I should do?

While my issue is the reverse, doing the style on damp or dry hair helps. I add more product to more curly hair and little to no product in the loosest sections. If my hair is dry, I do spritz it a bit but not to the point of dampness.

You can prob stretch the curls in the back so that they drop lower and even out a bit.

Thanks ladies! I usually do my sets while my hair is really wet so I'll definately try letting it dry out some. I've been thinking about stretching but haven't tried it out. Bunning for the next couple of weeks but I will definately try something different then.

Thanks again Wink

I love stretching! It works for me b/c I have the same issue. Do what works for you. Trial and error honey! Glad we could help.
