Wash & Go's Empty Wash & Go's

Post by ceaux 23rd August 2010, 3:09 pm

Hi, Very Happy! I haven't bc'd yet but I wanted to know what products do you use when doing wash & go's?

My hair in the back is all natural and I plan on cutting some more relaxed ends off this week. When I wash my hair there is a lot of frizz Sad so I need a product that eliminates frizz and defines curls.

So what do you recommend as a good curl definer?

well to define my curls i use eco styler gel and curls goddess curl

the goddess curl helps with eliminating frizz (its a natural gel) and the eco styler is better with actually defining curls..I use a lil of both and always have nice define curls throughout the day!! Very Happy

I have yet to find a product that actually eliminates frizz but the thing is, I like my hair to have a little frizz! Even with WnGs. But my favorite WnGs are with conditioner only, especially Aussie Moist conditioner. Love that stuff! I don't like gels because I haven't used one that didn't make my hair hard and I don't like to sacrifice softness for definition.

But I have found that if you want to use gel, mixing Eco Styler olive oil gel with some oil to make a custard is a little less hard that the gel by itself! Hopefully you'll be back soon telling us you're fully natural! Smile

My WnG regime is simple-

Baking soda & warm water for cleansing

paper towels for water absorption (swiping in one direction- usually front to back)

condish (usually VO5) + oil (usually vegetable oil) make curls POP

during the day after hair dries, I 'guge' may hair to make it fuller-looking

NO COMBING

Sweet Tee, not only does your regimen seem simple, it's also cost effective.

I use aussie moist sometimes for a wash n go, but I primarily use Herbal Essences Hydralicious...I LOVE It for wash n gos....I do have a little frizz, but I love it...I put some Softee gel on the edges and keep it moving....I get a nice soft look and I usually put it into a puff or some type of pony because my curl patterns throughout my hair are so inconsistent.

I use gel after I wash and moisture to define my curls.

I used Ecostlyer Olive Oil gel this week for my WNG look and didn't care for it. I was very happy with the look of Herbal Essence Set Me Up Gel last week. My curls were defined and my hair wasn't dry. I refreshed with a little of Shea Moisture Curl and Style Milk and my hair was amazing. This week with the Eco, not so.

@MikMont - I'm glad to see someone else is using HE Set Me Up Gel. I don't see much mention of it. It's very good. I can also work it on damp hair as well.
