What should i do about my greasy skin?

i have really oily skin. I mean step out the house hit you with the grease oily... i use an oil free moisturizer and that doesnt seem to work... i also use witch hazel thats good for like 10 mins and then puff the grease is back.... i love my black soap for acne but the grease still appears... any suggestions?

I am the same way. I use oil-free acne cleansers and and my face still gets really oily. I'd love to know the advice from the other women on here.

I use OCM and a smidgen of grapeseed oil to moisturize. The premise is that the oil breaks up the oil.

The key is balance. You may be overdrying your skin by using oil-free products, strange I know. When you overdry your skin it fights back by increasing oil production which is counterproductive when your skin is oily.

Thank You I will check that out! Do you feel that the OCM makes much of a difference for you though? or does it just do a good job at maintaining the oil so its not too much?

I certainly think it has an effect on the amount of oil my skin produces. I still am oily but not as much.

Other products to try include lemon peel powder and orange (peel) powder.

I agree with Chrs. I have really oily skin and tried OCM (just cator and olive oil) before and it didn't work for me.

But now I use a mix of Castor oil, Grapeseed Oil, and Jojoba oil with a bit of tea tree oil. My skin isn't as oily anymore and I think it's because i added the Grapeseed oil since it helps to tone and balance your skin.

I also do bentonite clay masks weekly to help with oil.

what exactly is a bentonite mas? is that a brand?? [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
and do you suggest dialuting that OCM with water or just the oils?

The brand of bentonite I'm currently using is Aztec. You can get it at Whole Foods or online but when I finish it I will be trying the Living Clay brand to see if there is a difference. It also helps with acne if you have that like I do.

and for OCM I just massage the oil mixture into my dry skin and then take it off with a hot towel. Sometimes I might use a hot towel before I apply the oil and in that case my face will be a little damp but I don't dilute it with water or anything else.

Do you think using the Bentonite would counteract the OCM since ith mask is oil absorbing?
