@shee-what kinda braids did u get? im so torn cuz i normally get braids when its cold anywayz but i KNOW im gonna miss playin in my hair mason is doin fine, he thinks he's so grown but he'll be 4 on the 22nd so i guess he aint far from it.

@ps-i love ur color and although i actually like my new color to jazz it up, i miss my natural color sometimes too but im glad i did it now vs when im longer!

@freckles-oooh did u use the DB n oyin combo? dont use too much cuz they are both so moisturizing u dont wanna end up a grease monkey like i did.

ok so i was bored this week n decided to go ahead n scratch off another mark on my "to do before bc" list. i wanted to flat iron but even wit a perm my hands are never good enuff to clamp down hard enuff on my hair to get it straight. sooo i had to improvise n did the next best thing. i used the curling iron...EEEEK!!

so the day before, i prepped my hair n washed n got re-introduced to my tui (thnx knh) and it did just as expected then i stretched it for the night n put in some braids. my FIRST time doin braids cuz u know...twist are just faster for me. but anyhoo, i normally cant braid worth a dmn but i was surprised at how long they are. my length checks stopped at my year mark!



then of course i was scared as heeeelll to apply heat so i started on LOW heat, however, as thick as my hair is, that did NOTHING so i just went for the gusto n turned it HIGH. i just did it section by section...

i applied QB amla n kbn gel on my ends:

my finished look came out just as expected...like JEROMY ROME!!!

but i fluffed it out n enjoyed how HUGE it was:





mind u my intentions were to do this style for a day so by the NEXT day i could do my 2nd DC of the week...lets just say... it didnt happen!



i had went out wit my co-workers to see Saw 3D (im an avid fan) and i got so many compliments. i was secretly feelin like i had stepped off a 70's set or somethin!



so by the end of the day...it started reverting back which is a GOOD thing cuz it shows i can get my curls back!





did i wrap it up at night? NO!! i tried to sike myself out to think i'd pincurl it but that was a no-go and its just plain ol too dmn THICK!! i refuse to fuse n fight to hold her down every night so i just stuff it all in my bonnet n fluff it out the next day. today i refreshed it with a palm full of QB amla creme n spritz on my CD jojoba sheen spray.



the more i leave it out, the more all over the place it is but im enjoying the "look" and its so fluffy soft. i felt like i was fresh out the dominican shop wit how fluffy it was and of course i cant stop playin in my roots (de ja vu ) im glad i didnt get another flat iron and besides...i dont plan on using heat that often to spend money on one...furthermore im not too keen on gettin to much cuz im gonna simplify for my PLANNED BC. but i have a slight dilemma, do i wanna just go for the gusto n go back to my amber rose OR start off n get my tapered anita baker look??? i gotta find the right style or person who has what im lookin for to give my stylist an idea! however, chrisette isnt makin it easy for me esp in that rick ross video!

excellent movie and i think its one of his best. i havent read or seen the play but how he incorporated some of the poems when they each had their "moment" threw me off in the beginning til i caught on. i like how all the stories meshed together n in the end they learned to grow from each other. GREAT film!!

I have been getting mixed reviews about tyler perry movie and i also did just read the review on the front page of curlynikki. I will see it for myself sometime this week to give my opinion but glad you liked it. i hear that it hits home in alot of scenes but some say that its over the top.

Yes, I am loving the oyin/DB combo. Soft, fluffly hair for what-7 days! I got some QB Amla cream too btw, just haven't tried it yet. You are trying to get me in trouble leavin that list on my CSJ, but it's all good. I love the hair especially with the red! Work it girl!

lol, i think im gonna go back to the combo this week but use much less oyin on my ends. i dnt wanna encourage the pj-ness but im just saying ive yet to come across someone who didnt like the amla so im not worried, you'll love it.

So..what is this Oyin/DB combo?

the combo is just using the DB vanilla and the oyin burnt sugar on the ends. the first time i used it, my twist out was EXTRA defined n too dmn perfect for my liking. it was DEFINITELY moisturized. i couldve left it twisted for over a week without spritzing daily n it would still be shiney! i was obviously heavy handed cuz it worked for freckles so im gonna try it again using LESS of the burnt sugar!

that dmn burnt sugar is dangerous by itself so to combo it wit the DB is living on the edge!

so yesterday i got my curls back

i washed n condish'd w/HE HH poo n condish (seperately n not the 2 in 1 combo one) and detangled w/QB cocoa ghee n braided it up for a little stretch. im startin to enjoy the stretchin part. although, i dont mind the shrinkage while doin twist cuz its lets me stretch my twistout so it gets bigger by the day.





i cant believe how long my curls are hanging...EEEEK!!

Hi Nubie! How was Saw 3D? I figured I should just go even though I'm upset they jumped on the 3D bandwagon.

I loved what you did with the curling iron, you really rocked it even when it started to get puffy, great way to improvise. Twists look great too, waiting for the twistout. ^^

@treece; as a true die hard Saw fan... i cant say that i didnt like it but it wasnt my fave. like on all the previous ones, u know how they all tie together n u leave the movies still talkin bout it or JUST catchin up on certain parts like OH!...this one wasnt like that. like on the previous ones u couldnt go see 3 or 4 without seein the first 2. with THIS one, u could probably see it without seein the last one (well not really) n still be able to catch on-if that makes sense i mainly didnt like how that no good detective took jigsaw's "purpose" n twisted it for his own despiteful azz ways!

well my hair is still twisted up and i shouldve took it out yesterday but i just didnt feel like it, lol. i wanna sit here at work n take it down but i forgot about the luxuries of just wakin up n gooooo! sometimes i sice myself up n unravel one or 2 to see how it would come out. i must say...im quite pleeeased after i initially style in twist all i do is spritz. remember the kbb butter alone kept it moisturized n glossy for days so when i untwist it i want it to be fluffy! well its like satin-y smooth, eeek!!

Can't wait to see the results!

Yesterday i spent the day at the park wit my boyz! the weather was nice so i figured i'd let them run some energy out, went to lunch, run around again, go home n play the wii, fill their belly wit dinner, a nice bath n by 9p **evil laugh** mwwwaaahahahahaa!!!



i dont mean to brag...ok yes i do but im just loving how sunkissed my face is, making my skin look like perfection...go on scroll back up n ENLARGE it to just stare for like 5 seconds!
