Re: jamaicacurl
I wore my hair fluffed out today but it doesn't look as good as it did yesterday. I think it's because I put olive oil in my hair this morning and washed it out in the shower before conditioning...but I don't think all of it came out. My curls are elongated a bit from the oil and looks kind of stringy. I used the mixed chicks leave in again today and less of it than yesterday. Still dried crunchy though....but due to my oil mishap I'm going to use it again this weekend after a typical routine instead of adding some other new stunt! LOL
Re: jamaicacurl
Last night we went to a Hawks game and after seeing how bad my hair looked I realized I had to come up with a 5 minute do (we decided to go at the last minute since my son was feeling better). So I sprayed my hair with my trusty bottle of water, conditioner & coconut oil, pulled it up into a ponytail, sectioned the pony in 4 and rolled each section forward and pinned the end of the hair underneath on the outside of the pony holder and voila...a bun! I then put a butterfly clip in the middle of the bun to distract from any stray hairs. Here are a few pics. I had to sneak into the bathroom to take pics with my phone b/c I swear my hubby thinks I'm vain or something for always taking pics of my hair! LOL He just doesn't understand!
Re: jamaicacurl
I got my free sample of Koils by Nature hair & body butter in the Heavenly Delight scent. Haven't really tried it in my hair yet but it's very smooth on my skin. The scent is absolutely delish! I wanna eat my hands lol! My husband loves the smell too & said he will be using it...he better back up off my sample! Lol!
If we really like this product, and depending on the price, this may be the kids' teachers Christmas gifts this year!
I'll report back tomorrow with hair results. Not really sure how to use this in my hair but probably will use it to SOTC after my wash n go. It's feels nice & light like it won't weigh down my hair so we will see!

Your bun looks great. I like the idea of an accessory in the middle. I will likely try that one.
I have Koils by Nature in sweet almond joy. It smells like cake batter, delish. I like that it is light and a little goes a long way. I think I used a tad bit too much Sunday.

Thanks Chrs!
How did you use your hair butter?
Today I smoothes a bit on my ends over my leave in, then put in some TW crinkles & curls and a little gel on the ends. My hair looks like the usual & smells great thanks to the butter! Unfortunately my ends are frizzing thanks to my wool coat! Ugh!
Re: jamaicacurl
UH OH Jamaica! Having those ends rub against your wool coat could be damaging to your ends especially since wool is such a rough material.

I know it's horrible! Today is the 2nd day I've worn it since the weather has gotten much cooler lately. I need to find an alternative or something to go over it! I don't like the feeling of my hair tucked into my coat.

Koils by Nature Hair Butter
Sunday night I used it as a moisturizer. I applied about a nickel size to seven sections--1 at nape, 3 at crown and 3 at top of head. Sunday night I put my hair in three ponytails to sleep in. I kinda wrapped them around one another. Yesterday morning I took them down, brushed my hair back and applied some of KbN's hair gel to hairline. I wore a two strand low bun.
When I took my hair down last night, my hair was still moisturized. This morning, I just applied some jojoba oil to my ends. My hair was still moisturized.

Today I just stuck with my tried and true co-wash with Suave Naturals Cherry Blossom, rinse out with GF Triple Nutrition, and leave in was my GVP version of Matrix Amplify volumizing condish with HE TT mousse scrunched in the ends. I plopped for 15-20 mins and air dried the rest of the way.
Soft curls all day!
We are supposed to be taking family pics soon for our Christmas cards and I'm debating whether I should straighten my hair for the pic or not. I haven't straightened it since August but I don't have a variety of styles, esp not a dressy style! So frustrating! Any ideas are welcomed!!
Your hair looks lovely in it's natural state. From what I can tell from your pics, I think it was look very "dressy" as it is, have you considered maybe putting some sort of hair adornment or accessory to dress it up? I say leave it as it is and put a bow, headband, clip, or even a feather....but of course you have to do what feels right. I love that all your hair needs is a little TLC and scrunching and you are good to go! Sometimes I wish I was able to wear a wash and wear style!

Re: jamaicacurl
So I was out of town for T-giving until yesterday, when I came down with the flu
Anywho, for T-giving I did the usual wash n go, and wore it all out. It looked pretty good! I went to Walmart and that cashier asked if it was my real hair and I told her yes. Then, she asked if ALL of it was mine and I said yes. She said it was really pretty so I felt good and it was another confidence booster for the all fluffed out look
Today I'm just resting so I haven't done anything with my hair. It looks a hot mess. Yesterday I just re-wet it and put it in a bun. I'm kind of disappointed about the condition of my hair undone though. I didn't style it but it looks and feels dry. After all the conditioner and stuff I've been using! I guess it doesn't help that I ddin't wear my scarf last night or sleep on my satin pillowcase.

Re: jamaicacurl
Last night I washed my hair and put it in 2 braids (one on each side) and pinned the ends to the opposite side (so I have 2 braids going across the back of my head). I figured if I'm going to be sick then I need to do a protective style so that my hair isn't looking all wild like it was yesterday! LOL
I just have to be sure to wear my scarf when I lie down.

Re: jamaicacurl
awwwww get better! two braids going across the back is my goto style when I don't have anything to do too...so effortless and keeps your hair up and you'll have some pretty waves when you take it down.

Re: jamaicacurl
Well I'm feeling considerably better today yay! Thanks to all you ladies for the well wishes
Today I co-washed, conditioned with GF TN and applied some more as my leave in. It's cold out and since I'm still not 100% back to health I didn't want to have wet hair hanging out so I put it in a bun.
I put my hair in a low ponytail and sectioned the ponytail into 4. I twisted each section between my fingers and wrapped it around the ponytail holder. I did this for each one , alternating between clockwise & counter clockwise directions, and pinned each one with bobby pins.
I kinda wish I had cute little hair accessories to adorn the sides. Gotta work on that...

Re: jamaicacurl
Just reading your post. Happy you are feeling better .
The bun you wore today caught my attention. I def will be trying it. It is beautiful and I agree with tiashautee, you have such awesome shine.
What is GF TN? Is this the only thing you leave in your hair? Do you have any other product on your edges? Sorry for all the questions, I so want that bun.
