I'm hoping to get more creative with my hair as this Spring weather starts to take over me. My BNB thread is pretty uneventful as far as hairstyles go but I've really just been focusing on getting my edges back and I'm making great progress so I'll take that. I snapped some pictures yesterday and as soon as I get up and walk up stairs I'll bring my camera back down to upload them.

Isn't that crazy!? Really? CHEETOS! lol I don't know what I would say if someone said that to me. That's a good way to think of it--tentacles. lol I tickle my hunnys ear with his locs...he doesn't like it!

Yes ma'am!! Once I get these edges back in full effect I plan to loc this mane up for good lol I'm sure I'll have to cut the rest of my hair a bit so that they are uniform but oh well. I'm excited!

Its still wet...not soaking wet but not damp either. I know, its weird. I just used my generic Denman to brush it down and detangle a bit before I go through the sealing process. It has some twists and bends to it but for the most part I have to manipulate my hair into curls. The coiliest parts are in the back and right above/behind my ears.

We are definitely locing the little ones hair. We haven't decided when yet though. He has a bald spot in the back from where he sleeps. Its growing back in now though so we'll see.

I know I don't want sisterlocs(too small for my liking) although I did contemplate it after seeing some very pretty ones. I guess not too small but not too thick. I'm going to try to find a picture of the size that I'd like. That video was so funny...people never cease to amaze me.

Yay for locs! I love them. My sorority sister had the prettiest locs. She cut them and then permed her hair and now she's natural again and loc-less but seriously contemplating getting them back. I will try to find a pic for you and post so that you can see if that's the size you want.

Cool! Hubby and I have already decided that we are our going to either loc or keep braided our child's hair (when we decide to start reproducing) and they can or will get a hair cut if they ask for one.

@Curlcita...I have quite a few friends who had locs for years only to cut them off and then want them back lol. I told them I never understood that but maybe I have to have them to understand.


I took these pictures last week after doing my ayurvedic powders treatment. Richeau talked about how some people say it could tighten up your curl pattern in addition to all the other great benefits so I said what the hell. I'll give it a try. I was in the shower so that's why its all steamy lol Even drenched in conditioner and soaking wet I only have minimal waves lol Okay, I'm over it...I accept my mane as she is.



I had cut quite a bit off just a few days before while they were in twists.

Nice! We'll be a family of locd heads I can't cornrow so Tajs' hair would either be in a ponytail or a fro at all times. He has coily(like the spring in a pen) hair like daddy so its easily tangled and attracts lint that likes to get wrapped up in the coils so the fro would be a NO NO lol

Update:
TODAY was a beautiful day! I spent a good amount of it SPRING cleaning but it was a lovely day nonetheless. I figured it was time to semi-babyproof the house since the little man of the house will soon be crawling and getting into everything--I think.



I believe I am ready to start working on my blog. I hope to get it going soon It will be a little of this and a little of that including my natural journey, being a mommy, eating and living a healthy lifestyle, and a few "deeper" topics that I'm passionate about.

i had an inklin to start locs myself...well not now but later on but im so skeptical becuz i know its like havin braids forever and i can only tolerate havin braids for 3 months . the good thing is, i can always grow it and cut it off when i get tired of em so locs MIGHT be on my bucket list
