Hey ladies. Just wanted to stop in and say hello since I've been missing in action for a little bit. I'm always tired these days with a baby who seems to rarely sleep lol I still get tickled when he moves around and I see little body parts sticking out of my belly. We decided not to be surprised this time so we know that we are having a BOY!! Our house can now be titled "3 Men & a Lady" Taj doesn't get that there is a little one on the way but on a prenatal visit to our midwifes one of the back up midwives had her newborn with her and Taj took to him really well. I know it may be a different story when its actually his mommy that has a baby needing her attention but it was good to see him interact and try to get close.

We're still working with a camera that only likes to partially charge so pictures have been pretty nonexistent but my edges have practically made a complete comeback and my hair is growing like crazy. I pray that I get to keep it...lol yea right Anyway, I hope that all is peace with you ladies. I'm going to browse a bit and then hit the kitchen to try my hand at a vegan alfredo for the first time.

@Nubie...No locs yet. I'm thinking that if I get to the point where baby is around 3 months and the shedding hasn't wreaked havoc on my hair then I'll loc then. That would some time around August.

Life right now is bitter/sweet. We are so excited to be welcoming this little warrior into the world this May but have been dealt an unfortunate blow with hubby losing his job, through no fault of his own. My Dad who is retired military and who has been a government contractor with the Department of Defense for I don't know how long was just laid off as well. This economy sucks big time right now! We are keeping our heads up and staying positive that things will all work out for the best. Luckily this baby won't be an added expense since he will be breastfed,cloth diapered, and has a big brother whose things we can just pass down to him.

My hair is still doing well. I keep it twisted and pinned up for the most part which makes it easier to deal with. I'm more tired these days with the baby taking over my body so the less I have to do to it the better.

We were finally able to make it back home to North Carolina this past weekend to see family and friends. My family threw a baby shower for my aunt and I. It was so good to be surrounded by family and friends...the shower was secondary for me. My uncle also threw a bday party for my other aunts 50th bday. It was good times all around.

Hi, yeah I agree this economy suck! You and your family will be in my prayers. I did not know you wanted to loc, I cant wait to see your journey on that.

Congratulations!!! I have two boys and I don't know what I was missing not having a girl; however, I had tons of fun with my sons!! Boys are sooo sweet and they love their mom!!

I'm sorry to hear about your hubby and dad losing their jobs, but when God closes a door there are two or three opening up in due time.
