@Sweet & MC---I was sooo intimidated by henna before I gave it a go for the first time. Its really easy though. Nothing to fear but fear itself lol. The henna process is an all day thing for me but being a stay at home mom allows me the freedom to do it.

Yesterday I did a henna treatment followed by a brahmi treatment followed by a DC overnight. I woke up this morning and rinsed and have been rocking pigtails all day while it dries under a scarf so that I can stretch it out a bit before I decide what to do with it tomorrow. So in essence its been a 3 day process lol.

I'm going to keep working at these two strand twists. The whipped shea butter I made has a bit of hold to it. I believe its due to the honey that I added. The shedding has been a test of my patience but I'm liking the results that I'm seeing from the TLC that I've been giving it. Its almost like starting all over with the front of my hair. Its so much shorter than the rest and it really looks like I BCd the front. Its all curly and cute. I'm learning to work with it. Smile

Thanks Chrs. I went ahead and redid my twists last night for the CBR style. This time I did smaller flat twists so we'll see what kind of results this yields. Smile

I got my twists wet in the shower today so they frizzed up a bit. I'll probably retwist them tomorrow for a twist out on Tuesday. I'll be back with pics then Smile

Hi Alatina....I wanted to share my brahmi experience i finally got around to it. I love it i mixed it with vatika oil it took me awhile because my local indian store didnt have it so i went hunting lol. The brahmi is very gritty unlike the amla so it was hard to come off i had to shampoo my hair and i wasnt even planning to but on a positive not this gets me ready for castor oil challenge. Anyways my hair felt soft and very shiny its definately in my to do list, but next time i will do mix it with water my shower will be happier AfrikanLatina ☥ It's A... - Page 18 Icon_lol

I've spent the majority of my afternoon pretty much reading through this whole thread and OMG! I feel like I know you guys!! LOL...

I've always pretty much been a forum stalker, and never chimed in, but I started to get a little anxious about this PP shedding so I started a thread last night. I've been through this two times prior, so I'll be allright, but nothing like being a little proactive to try and make it as painless as possible....

Luckily, this last pregnancy was the grand finale and a sista girl is DONE with the babies!!! The hubs and I got a late start, so we knocked it out fairly quickly -- I would say deliveries in Jan 07, June 08, and December 09 equals fairly quickly!! Once I get through this bout of PP shedding, (if can't avoid it) it should be smooth sailing!!! Although, a sista will have her hands FULL with FOUR heads of hair to do!!!

Anyhoo, nice meeting all of you, and I look foward to interacting more on other threads!!!

Hey CURLIES!! I feel like its been so long since I've been on. I've having family time. I've just been trying to spend as much time with friends and family as I can. Since we'll be moving in July I just want to get some good QT in. I'm doing well...I've been keeping up with my henna, brahmi, and deep conditioning treatments. I'll be back sometime this week with picture updates of what I've been doing and my progress! Smile
