Your twists look so good. We'll let you pass on using your Qhemet. I hate getting packages and trying to wait to use it. It's like the box is calling my name saying open me, open me. LOL!
Anyway, I know the concert will be awesome. Can't wait to see pics of you twist out.

Re: www.freethegoddess.com
Ok, ladies I have pics. But first let me say the Qhemet is very moisturizing and I love that. But........my twistout was so soft, and frizzy, and it did not last for work today. Maybe it was my twisting that caused my results not to be the best, or maybe its the Houston humidity. Either way, I have a curly fro. My roots and the length of my hair have shrunk, and I have a slight curl at the tips of my hair all over. Its not all bad, I can wear a headband or scarf and pull it off-but its just not the results I was expecting.
Any-whoo, here are the pictures:
Now, these are this mornings pictures:
I forgot to take the pictures before I left for the concert, so all of the pictures except the first one are from afterwards.

Re: www.freethegoddess.com
Cute pics and I don't see any frizz! My hair curls on the ends like that usually because I twirl the ends of my hair when I'm plaiting or twisting. I love Qhemet's because its so moisturizing but when I use it I do get more frizz than when I use any other product.
Re: www.freethegoddess.com
KC-your hair is super cute in your avatar. What products do you use for twistouts?
My hair reminds me of a smooshie ball. You know the ones with gel inside, and it kinda looks like a porcupine from the outside and you squeeze it in your hand.

Re: www.freethegoddess.com
ur twist out came out really cute and yes i think the humidity also was a factor but i noticed w/qhemet too, when i use too much it makes it sooo soft (almost too soft) that i get frizz too! does that make sense

Re: www.freethegoddess.com
Nice twistout. I'm learning frizz is hard to combat and that its par for the course with natural hair...there really isn't a way to avoid it. But I didn't notice any with your twistout. It looked soft, which w/Qhemet I'm sure it was.

I finally read your entire thread. Great natural journey story. Your hair and your DD hair looks great!
I bet It was the humidity that turned your hair into a curly fro. It did the same thing to my braidout. I look forward to following your thread.

Yes Nubie. That makes sense.
My hair is so soft, which I like-but maybe I did use too much. I am gonna put the Qhemet back on the shelf and finish this 30 days with the KCCC. And revisit later this month.

Re: www.freethegoddess.com
Hi CK...
Being here I know how the humidity can be!! However, with Qhemet if you use the Heavy Cream with a Gel (not Qhemet's) you will get better results!!!
You curly fro is too cute!!!

Nice results. I can flat twist my manican(Sp), but whenever I try on my daughters hair it isnt' the same. I know the textures are different-I will keep trying.

Re: www.freethegoddess.com
Well, my hair is still very moisturized due to the Qhemet. Which I just totally love. After my failed twistout because of the heavy handedness with the Qhemet, I began wearing a high puff.
All good things must come to an end, so tonight I will co-wash and detangle. I will be using the KC products again for a wash and go, (and I have not done that in a very long time) and I will rake it thru and use a spritz to refresh throughout the week.
In other news, I have gotten tired of mini-twisting my daughters hair. And as I stated in an earlier post I would begin plaiting her hair or putting it in ponytails. Well, the plaits do fine and they retain her length-but the ponytails experienced major shrinkage.
So I have pics of my puff and a picture of her ponytail shrinkage. Enjoy!
