I bought the Frank Juice, Shine and Define, Whipped Pudding, and the Burnt Sugar Pomade fro Oyin, and from Afroveda I bought Curl Define, Pur Whipped Gelly, Totally Twisted Ginger Almond Butter, and CocoLatte Moisture Mask. And I recv'd a free sample of the Shikahai Hair Growth Elixir.

Hair Updates:
I wore my hair in two strand twists with the braids on the side for almost two weeks.
I loved that style. My scalp was in good condition and the twists still looked really good. I refreshed with an oil by ORS , and also my Juices and Berries or water.
I was excited about doing a twistout which is why I took the twists out. My twist out results were not as awesome for some reason, and I think I know why-but I will try it again and then let you guys
know what happened. Anyways, I washed my hair really good, detangled and then let a deep condish sit on my hair overnight. The next morning I washed it out, and used my Afroveda Pur Whipped Gelly. Wow-I loved the smell and my curls were really defined.
I am wondering if I should have used a leave-in condish and if so which condish works well AFroveda?
The reason I did not was because I read the ingredient list, and it sounded good to me (but I am NO expert).
Plus, sometimes when I use a leave-in and I use too much and my hair turns white and I get super frustrated. So I skipped that step. (I know it makes more sense for me to just use less, than none at all)
So tonight, I plan to add some totally twisted ginger almond butter (by Afroveda-I think that is the name), and do some twists.
In other news:
I took my mini-me to the salon to get her hair done. The reason being is because she needed her ends clipped,
And I don’t trust myself doing that. So she recv’d her trim and style and here are the pics. (I also threw in some pics of her hair when I washed it a couple days before.)

twisted pony-tails
flat twists w/twists at the back

an old twistout puff
These pictures are from six months of being natural. I am definitely making progress, and I owe it all to the beautiful natural women who support one another.
What did you use to do you coils? they are really shining, I cannot get mine to shine like that for the life of me

Hi there! Your daughter's hair style is cute. I may try it soon now that fall is approaching.
How's your hair doing?
I've used Afroveda, and I used Aubrey Organics conditioners under them with no issues. I love their Totally Twisted Ginger Almond Butter and Pur Whipped Gelly. Great on twists!

Re: www.freethegoddess.com
I have been missing for awhile, but now I am back with very good hair news.
What am I doing with my hair you ask?
Well, I have been using Oyin Whipped Pudding to twist and sealing with the Burnt Sugar Pomade. I have also been twisting with Afroveda PWG and Totally Twisted Almond Butter or the Cocolatte Moisture Mask by itself.
I wash about every 2 weeks and I use Dr.Bronners Castile Soap (the peppermint one), only a capful and I mix it with AussieMoist Condish. For a deep condish I use Parnevu Hair Mayo (from a beauty supply store). For my leave-in with the Oyin I use the Honey Hemp Condish and with the Afroveda I use Afrodetangler.
I was getting a little discouraged at first because I was not seeing the growth others were, but I realized I could not compare my hair to anyone elses. I have been wearing lots of twists and twistouts which I love and I also colored my hair. Well, I went to a Natural Hair Salon in Houston and my girl Malaika hooked me up.
So without futher delay, here are the pics:
old twistout
Chunky twistout
curly fro
Puff
Another puff, but in this one hopefully you will be able to see the color.
I am so happy about the growth I have experiencec and I am really glad I have an idea of what products work for my hair and also some styling options.

Hey Coilykinks!
I see you're getting some hang time with your hair! I'm glad you've found a regimen that works for you. Are you leaving your twists in for the entire two weeks in between washes or do you also wear your hair out?

Re: www.freethegoddess.com
Whats up krazycoils!
I have been leaving my twists in only over night.
I dry twist every night. I spritz with water and add a little product sometimes depending on how my hair feels. Or sometimes I just rub some oil on my hair.

I know my curls would be more defined if I left the twists in longer. But I am loving wearing my hair out soooo much!

Re: www.freethegoddess.com
My hair has grown soooo much. I have pics to post prolly tomorrow.
Everyone is suggesting I straighthen it just to see how long it has gotten. (mostly people non-naturals)I am on the fence abt that because I have heard the horror stories about hair not curling again after using heat.
My stylist made a very good point. She said when you straighthen the objective is to get the hair as straight as possible. And by doing so, she can alter your curl pattern.
I am more in love with my hair than I have ever been. It is growing so fast and it is so healthy. I have thought about doing another BC just because I never had my hair really short since I transitioned. Now If I decide to BC again, I may straighten right before.
Right now, I just want to see how much growth I can achieve by summertime!
Tomorrow I will be getting mini-twists again, and this time I plan to leave them up for 3 weeks. I will post pics tomorrow.
Enjoy your weekend!

Thanks ladies! I have been very busy at work and with my daughter. She's in Pre-k now and she requires so much of my time and attention. And once I get her in bed my last few moments are spent with my honey. So I am only able to squeeze in a little time here and there.
Well, here are pics of my mini-twists and also a length check:
