Parting Hair For Twists Empty Parting Hair For Twists

Post by valarham 27th May 2010, 10:38 pm

I really cannot understand how you ladies part your hair straight in the back and crown area when you are doing twist. Is it me, or have you just practiced to the point whereby you have it down to a science? I don't ever wear my twists because I don't part well. I usually just take them out and redo them the next night. Help! Parting Hair For Twists Affraid

I use two mirrors to part the back of my hair for twist....the bathroom mirror and a floor length mirror.

Same here! It took me a while to finally master the art of parting. Now I just part straight across row by row. Then I just use my fingers and grab pieces and start braiding or twisting.

Parting Hair For Twists Empty Hair Parts

Post by valarham 28th May 2010, 5:42 pm

So, for those of you who do not use a comb, it sounds like you are not concerned with the parts, (as to whether they are straight or not). In other words, it is cool to wear the twists even with the parts a little crooked. Is that right?

Yes, it is. When you unravel the twists, you'll cover the spaces and parts, anyway. They really don't have to be perfect.

I think it is a personal preference. I wear my twist for several days so I like for them to look uniformed.

If I only plan to wear the twist overnight, I dont part my hair.

On my hair, when i part and make sure it is parted perfectly,(because my hair is fine and thin). It looks like Im balding. When i did them on my friend. I did parts and made sure they were perfect, It worked well for her because her hair is thicker.

You can go on the twist challenge and see all types of twists that were done.

Really inspiring twists!!! on the challenge!!

I grab and twist. I will wear the twist for about a week and then take them down. When I part it, it is too hard to cover up the parts and it leaves big gaps. When I just grab and twist, it falls into place and I have no gaps with scalp showing.
