In Him we have redemption (deliverance and salvation) through His blood, the remission (forgiveness) of our offenses (shortcomings and trespasses), in accordance with the riches and the generosity of His gracious favor,
8Which He lavished upon us in every kind of wisdom and understanding (practical insight and prudence)
Ephesians 1:7-8----------HOLY WEEK: FORGIVENESS
Good Tuesday morning:
It is still a rainy one here.
Random thought: Congrats to Curlynikki and her baby girl coming into the world soon. A little girl is so perfect for her...... . Safe delivery.
So last night I was going to use my homemade curly pudding again but then Qhemet Biologics Olive and Honey Hydrationg Balm came in a product swap. So I used that instead.
I shampooed with my face wash then conditioned with Giovanni smooth n shine for a few mins while I took care of the rest of my shower needs. Then I rinsed out in cool water. I must say my hair felt like butter from the first time the water hit it. It felt absolutely heavenly . There was no need to detangle at all. It was FABULOUS. I attribute this to the curly pudding.
Anyhoo, I sectioned my hair then added the QB, I could tell right away then was no slip, at all. I ran to the frige and got the curly pudding when I hit the back curls . (No slip on wet or damp hair means breakage in my book, especially the back.) But I still tried not to use the pudding because I wanted to see what the QB hydrating balm could do. I believe this is definitely not to be used alone. I think adding it to my curly pudding is a great idea. Maybe even subsituting the EVOO in the mix for this balm. Then blend everything to give me a creamy pudding. Hummmm, I will definitely have to look into that, Other than that, I do not really see any other way to use this. It is quite "icky" in texture. Almost like a gel but without the hold. I was even thinking of calling up the manufacture to ask how they recommend using this. I guess it can be used to seal the hair as well because it has chock full of oils. I think the curly pudding incorporation will be my first step.
I also double strand flat twisted my hair differently. I WILL POST PICS OF THAT LATER.
Once I unraveled, hair was still a little damp, I could see right away, I was going to have a curly fro similar to what my hair looked before washing it . Natural hair is to funny.
Anyhoo, I rocked it out just like that to work. My evaluation was pushed to Wednesday am, so I just let my big hair alone . With all the rain, it is bound to get bigger as the days go on. I am thinking about just leaving it alone until this Friday. I will do various styles in between for work. This is just a thought tough, because now I want to try incorporating that hydrating balm into my curly pudding and double strand flat twist an even difffernt way I found...... We will see.............
HAVE A TERRIFIC TUESDAY DOLLS!!!! PICS TO FOLLOW LATER.

Good Morning IB,
I use the hydrating balm along with the Qhemet heavy cream - perfect combo. You most definitely can't use it alone - at least I wouldn't try to.

Hi IB~
I am so a Qhemet Fan!!! I used the heavy cream with their gel, sealed with the balm and achieved the best braid out ever!!! You can only see the true results of the product once your hair is 100% dry.
I would suggest not adding anything to the product, but using a little gel that's all. The key to success with Qhemet is a little goes a long way...trust me I know. I am very heavy handed with ALL products!!! Also, I get the best curl definition with Qhemet!!!
Not sure if it was JCurl or Chrs, but when I first join CN one of them told me once you find a product that works for you while you're in your TWA stage stick with it. So true...so TRUE!!!
Can't wait to see your pictures....I'll check back later today!!!

Oh, then I should use my curly pudding then that hydrating balm. I was thinking of doing that at first but I said why not skip that step and just incorporate

Oh so you use the heavy cream, then gel, then balm. Ok, that makes sense because I don't have any hold with the curly pudding or the balm.
THANKS BBD AND KNH

Ths rain IS crazy. Where is spring?
It's ok. That means we will have a fabulous spring and summer with beautiful flowers.

BIG HAIR REVEALED AND REALLY NO DIFFERENCE FROM PRE WASH

Love love the hair. Your flat twists look awesome. I loved the flat twist out.
Happy belated to Christian! (My youngest son's name is Christian also.)
You are doing great with your hair.
As for textures, I completely understand. My crown and front are more wavy than curly while the sides and back are tighter. I find the key to making them merge is applying less products to the crown and front and more to the sides. But as you know, results vary.
Continue to have fun with your beautiful head of hair!

Re: IntelligentBeauty;-) PICS OF DESTINY LOVING WATER;-)
Your twistout is beautiful girl! Man I can't wait to do one of those. I'm sorry the balm didn't work out for you with the first use, but I'm sure you'll find a way to incorporate it into your reggi.
Re: IntelligentBeauty;-) PICS OF DESTINY LOVING WATER;-)
Hey IB!!! Your flat twists looked great! And I can definitely see more similarities in our hair after seeing the twistout. It looked so pretty and fluffy And natural hair is so funny that way! You do all this stuff to it just for it to look the same way it did before you washed it!! lol but I love how it came out

Thanks Bh. I know it's crazy, but you know I was kind of mad about that . But I just realized that is how my hair would look if I twisted with no product, the same .
It was very fluffy, it felt like I had no hair. I could feel any bit of air blowing, right on my scalp. So weird......

Re: IntelligentBeauty;-) PICS OF DESTINY LOVING WATER;-)
Hi IB! I liked the second twistout as well. Different products and weather yield different results. That is definitely the difference with natural hair.
I haven't done too much to my hair lately, but I did do a cassia treatment over the weekend last week. I loved the fact that my hair is so much curlier than before! I have curls popping everywhere. Today, I am trying my first hand at a braidout using cornrows. I used to think that I couldn't cornrow at all, but it just takes a little more thought. Still too much work to do to play too much, lol! The mini twists may come late next week, but I am afraid to blow dry my hair, so I have to stretch it out another way.
I also liked the twist/roller set you did at the beginning of the BC. I would like to see that on you again. I found that I have more length too, so I would like to see what the difference is between then and now. Just curious...
Oh btw, I did not know that CN was on FB! I will have to go there soon. Thanks for the info!
