Hi All! I can't express how much I love all of you. I have learned so much from CurlyNikki and other blogs, forums and Youtube posts. I have gained understanding and acceptance and advice and support, all without even know you! Thank you CurlyNikki and thank all of you who make me feel beautiful.

Where are you from: Philly
What you do: Analyst (chair jockey) I crunch numbers and write programs all day. When your friends said you won't use math when you grow up? They LIED!!!
How long you've been natural: My last relaxer was June 10, 2009. I can't wait to B/C. My hair started off at about 13- 14 inches, my stylist cut 3 inches, then 3 more, then 5 over a 6 month period. My hair grows about average so it's about 6- 7 inches now: 4in natural and 2- 3in relaxed. I swore I would wait 2 years. Uh uh. I am cutting the rest of the relaxer off at the next lunar cycle.

Fav products: I LOVE Dominican Products- but not using at the time . . .I Love Milkshake Products . . . .Experimenting now with Ayurveda & Natural recipe Blends ( been wearing my hair flat ironed for years and colored which has lead me to start all over with no sulfate or dye) Hair grows really fast but lately the colore has left me dry, split ends & brittle so starting over (Was using Dominican Products but made a mistake of letting them color my hair last fall (NOT THE COLOR in my Photo) I did that myself and had no problems I only have problems when I let other people color my hair! My name is neese but you may call me slinkyhead because my head is just a bunch of slinky's!!!! lol I am from Las Vegas, Nevada born and mostly raised. Its the smallest big town ever! I am a student hoping to successfully apply to nursing school this fall so that I may become a midwife by 2013ish!!! I have been natural for 1 1/3 yrs and I LOVE it! My products are HEHH for cowashes and organic unrefined shea butter, coconut oil, almond oil, jojoba oil, and vegetable glycerin. simple as dimples. My hair is no longer my life but it is very important to me because if I'm going to eat animal fries at least once a week then I need to be healthy another way! lol

My last perm was April 2009. I transitioned for 11 months and actually cut my permed ends off last Tuesday and I'm loving my hair. I don't really have any staple products. I have been sticking with Cantu shea butter leave in conditioner.

Quick question- I know what it means to seal my ends, but what is a good way to do that?

What do you do? I'm a mother, student, and full time assistant for an arena

How long have you been natural? My last perm was January 30, 2009 and I transitioned for a few months by slowly cutting permed hair off (inches at a time) and as of January 15, 2010 I am 100% natural.

Fav products: I don't have any favorite products because I'm trying out different products now. I am open to any product suggestions.
